I’m doing a lot of driving next week, alone in the car.
Ten hours there and ten hours back.
I need music to listen to in the car.
I like everything from Noah and the Whale, to My Chemical Romance, to fun., to The Head and the Heart, to Elton John, to Green Day, to Billy Joel.
I basically like everything.
Give me suggestions of stuff to put on my iPod for a combined 20 hours in a car?
black keys, marilyn manson, sleigh bells will prevent you from falling asleep at the wheel.
My all-time favorite driving album is Bat out of Hell, by Meatloaf. I'd also recommend Who's Next, by The Who.
My favorite driving CD (when I drove 1000 miles every couple of weeks for work) was the Boys on the Side Original Motion Picture soundtrack. Great driving music. I also dig Twelve Deadly Cyns by Cyndi Lauper. Pink's new album is mostly upbeat and is in my car presently.

Born to Be Wild
Sh*t I'm old, can't think!
As I was typing this list, I had to laugh when I realized that, except for maybe 2 outliers, you can pretty much tell exactly how old I am/when I was a teenager based on the following selections:
Ramblin' Man - The Allman Brothers
Running on Empty - Jackson Brown
Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
Wild Thing - The Troggs
Southern Man (and the entire After the Gold Rush and Harvest albums) - Neil Young
Already Gone; Take it to the Limit; and Take it Easy - The Eagles
Carry on my Wayward Son - Kansas
Free Bird - Lynrd Skynrd
More Than a Feeling - Boston
Somebody to Love - Queen
You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi
Route 66 - Nat King Cole
This is fun - I'll come up with some more later. Safe travels.
Albums:
Mika - Origin of Love
Voice of the Beehive - Let It Bee; Honey Lingers; Sex and Misery
Hairspray - Original Movie Soundtrack (198

See I'm younger but grew up on the old stuff, so my suggestions would be:
"Born to Be Wild"
"Magic Carpet Ride"
"Danger Zone" (this is a great one)
Beach Boys
"Start Me Up" by The Rolling Stones
"Free Bird" for sure
