Your mother always made you turn over your Halloween candy so that she could sift through it to make sure there were no drugs in it. It never occurred to her that the drugs were in the drinking water.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

After reading that, it wasn't even the drug part that grossed me out.

I'm never drinking water again.

I still say drinking tap water is the best way to build up your immune system. Every sip is like getting your shots.

" antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones "

Sex hormones?

I like this part best: "People take pills."

===

How do the drugs get into the water?

People take pills. Their bodies absorb some of the medication, but the rest passes through and is flushed down the toilet. The wastewater is treated before it is discharged into reservoirs, rivers or lakes. Then, some of the water is cleansed again at drinking water treatment plants and piped to consumers. But most treatments do not remove all drug residue.

Waste from animals that had been given veterinary drugs also plays a role.

Tap water is highly regulated and tested almost continually to make sure it exceeds USDA & FDA standards and treated with Chlorine for purity. Bottled water isn't. Drink up,

The solution, borrowed from the Middle Ages:

Drink beer. It's safer than water.
