Betty Buckley (you have to watch till then end) plays Rose's Turn as if she's confessing to having drowned 6 of June and Louise's younger siblings.

Pamela's got a HUGE voice, but her acting is...
Betty Buckley keeps wiping something away from her mouth... either a bug, or perhaps that piece of scenery she's chewing.
Pamela has a great voice, but I don't think she's right for Mama Rose.
Pam Meyers comes off as the hand-me-down Bette Midler.
Too bad cause she's got the pipes for the role.

I saw Pamela Meyers play Rose in 2001 and she was just dreadful.
I saw Betty Buckley play Rose and I still have nightmares.

PalJoey I could not stop laughing after reading that comment, mostly because it is so true.
I love Myers vocals, a pity her acting is not up to par, I really like Louise's singing though.
Buckley's "Rose's Turn" is just...well, let's just say I'm glad I still have my memories from the Encores! production stamped on my mind.
I wish I had seen Donna McKechnie play the role, she must've been awful (Momma Rose she ain't) but it must've been interesting to see her perform the role.
I love how Pamela Myers opens the door right into her foot, and it closes back up again.
Priceless.
She looks like she's never been on that set before and has no idea where her character is.
I like my Rose to be crosseyed.
Why the flip did she sing with all of those Mermanisms?
What a voice, though.
I wept when she sang Another Hundred People at the Company concert.
Myers' "Everything's Coming Up Roses" sounds as if she had a small stroke before going on stage.

Speaking of Donna, how brave of Pamela to wear the Cassie dress.
Best12, I also love that part of the clip, Myers opening the door twice, it's just funny.
Dear lord...Betty Buckley scares the crap out of me! And what the hell was going on with the wiping of her mouth?
She ate raw meat backstage before her entrance.
Oh my God, when Buckley picked her knee up and swung an imaginary bat before "bat a thousand" I swear I started laughing hysterically.
Don't let her catch you. She'll cut you.
The cherry on the Buckley cake was the power ballad punch at the end.
The cherry on the Buckley cake
...ew.
Oh c'mon, it's an expression.
What a subtle and understated performance.
Seriously, I hadn't noticed it before but on second watch, what is she doing with her hand on her nose?
Is it me or Pamela Myers screws up the lyrics to "Everything's Coming Up Roses"? If she doesn't she still looks like she is making up the lyrics as she goes. She has no clue what she is singing.
PalJoey, Buckley's performance is so much more enjoyable after knowing that she is confessing to having drowned her babies
Oh and I really like Lauren Hathaway's voice but that strip is as sexy as Pam Myers' crazy hand gestures during "Some People."

What the HECK is Buckley doing?
It's no wonder Laurents wouldn't let that near Broadway.
Betty Buckley and I saw "Grey Gardens" on the same night...and then she ran into a pole. I've never been able to muster up that much fear of her after that.
Yeah, but what happened to the POLE?
