The Carringtons initially only had 2 children..somewhere along the line they remembered about Amanda
...Al Corley.
Cute, but that man was a dumb blonde.

And here she is seductively holding the strawberry in the show's first season opening credits
...let's just say that after spending an afternoon with him in Central Park I had to point him in the direction of the West Side. He didn't know where he was.
(And that is not meant to be a story about me. It's meant to illustrate how DUMB he was...)

Hope everyone in NY has their VCRs set for the right time. Due to NY Giants Football, ABC is airing it at approx 1am EST, after the Late News.
THANKS Addy, for that GREAT Al Corley Story!!!
Here's some DYNASTY dirt and trivia I gleaned from various sources on the Internet...
1. After the series had ended, Spelling and the Shapiros took each other to court over the Dynasty rights. Each side employed more than ten laywers.
2. It is well known that Joan Collins changed whole text passages, or said them differently ["Oh, an English person wouldn't say this" was her line]. Less known is that Linda Evans likewise quite often insisted on changes in her text.
3. Wigs galore. Joan Collins wore an assortment of wigs on Dynasty, as did Linda Evans. Even John Forsythe was rumoured to sport the occasional gentleman's wig aka a toupee.
4. Pamela Sue Martin was offered a spin-off series ('Hotel') by the Shapiros. They were quite furious when she refused the offer.
5. Nolan Miller also designed the clothes for Linda Evans on 'Big Valley'. Because her co-star Barbara Stanwyck was so petite, he couldn't emphasize Linda's shoulders. On Dynasty he could. The shoulderpads grew bigger with every season till a halt was put to it by the Dynasty brass.
6. People's and press' reactions following Rock Hudson's 'AIDS-kiss' bordered on hysteria. "Quite a few people stopped greeting me, some refused to shake my hand." Linda Evans said.
7. John Forsythe liked to slap Miss Evans on the backside. On more than one occasion he was heard saying she had a good set of legs.
8. John James was well aware of his eye candy status on the cast. One day Elaine Rich came up to him and said: "John, I want more tongue!"
9. Apparently Tori Spelling(!) suggested Emma Samms for the recast of Fallon.
10. James Farentino (Nick Toscanni) was convicted in 1994 for stalking his ex-girlfriend Tina Sinatra, after a tempestuous 5-year off-and-on relationship that ended with his rejection.
Tori Spelling? She would have been like 10 or something!
I never noticed the rather phallic photos that went along with Corley and Coleman's screen credit. Hmm...
They didn't either... too dumb.
