JGirl ... Eric hums too. Sometimes we don't quite recognize what he is humming, but it will definitely have a melody to it, so we figure it must be something he's heard somewhere (or maybe he's making it up!) But songs he often hums that are very recognizable to us are "It's A Small World" and "Jingle Bells".
Wondering if there is a spoken form of dyslexia, or is there another word for that? Because my brain will be thinking one thing, but sometimes the words will come out of my mouth jumbled. And then the other person will look at me funny while I'm thinking that what I just said is exactly what I meant to say.
"You just said 'the blue is sky.'"
"No, I said 'the sky is blue.'"
"No you didn't."
"Well it's what I thought I said and what I meant to say! Leave me alone!"
I have that too - it's called age, dear.

I so read the title of this thread correctly.
I have dyslexia to some degree... and I don't take it that seriously, really. I mean, if one can't laugh, or at least take with a grain of salt, at what life throws at you, it would be rather depressing.
I have dyslexia when it comes to reading music. I'm not kidding either, I've always been that way.
But I read the thread wrong too. I remember a chain email a while back that proved that you only need to spell a word with the first letter and last letter correctly to read it, since that's how the brain operates or something along that degree.
