re: Am I the only one who thinks...

Jun 21, 2006 — 10:02:56 AM

I think the point of NathanLaneStalker's thread, if you read the first post, is that everyone around him seems to enjoy Phantom but he doesn't and he's looking for someone with something in common with him. This entire thread is sad in many ways. Oh look it's FINALLY time to go catch my bus. Thank God, I was getting really bored and sifting through 3 page posts of fighting for no reason.

re: If you could play ONE role on Broadway........

Oh God Oh God. I can't pick between The Baker's Wife (Into The Woods) or The Toast of Mayfair, SALLY BOWLES (Cabaret.) Good Lord. They are the reason for the season. If I were a (rich) man, I would play Angel from Rent. KAPOW.

SARAH "Sarah" by Fleetwood Mac is beautiful. "Jenny, You're Barely Alive" by Rilo Killey. And "White Houses" ... Jenny screams out and it's no pose 'Cause when she dances, she goes and goes

re: Can a show be your favorite if you have not seen it?

"Basically, is your favorite show based on the contents/idea of the show or those performing in it? " That raises a good point, and what I meant (sort of) when I talked about "Into The Woods." It's my favorite show, but when I saw it live I wasn't overly impressed. But I know the music, have the dvd, have seen it done live twice, own the script, sang 2 of the songs in voice lessons...um...the soundtrack to my life is basically the OBC of ITW.

Well I just tend to specify. "Cabaret" is my favorite show I haven't seen live..."Into the Woods" is my favorite show that I *have* seen live (although the 2 times I saw it live I was dissapointed at aspects of it, and to me the DVD is perfection.)

WOW. At first I was like "I would kill to have the skills to play Bombalurina." (I saw an amazing performer play her regionally and have so muchrespect for her, I associate that role with talent.) I was going to get all upset but then. Oh. A guy. I'm sorry! I did "Bugsy Malone...Jr."

re: What show are YOU currently working on?

Apr 17, 2006 — 3:27:12 PM

I'm stage-managing a new musical my friend wrote called JUMP! The music is all 80's tunes. (ie the opening number is "She Works Hard For The Money")

"People forget that I trained as a dancer and singer prior to being in the Spice Girls and it's something I want to get back into." what about ACTING? Does anyone give a crap about this art form anymore?
