This would be wonderful! I've seen Sting in concert several times, but it would great to have all 3 members of the Police reunited for a tour. "I Can't Stand Losing" and "Synchronicity II" are my favorite Police songs. Aaaah, good memories from the 80s.

(Just thought I should balance out the old pics with some current ones.)

I never had the chance to the them live (my parents wouldn't allow me to go to concerts until I was 16, which was several years after they'd broken up), so I would just be SO THRILLED if this came to pass! And yes, I've seen Sting in concert, and it was magnificent, but I'd be so psyched to see THE POLICE. *fingers crossed*

I know this probably won't come to pass, because every time they've attempted to work together again all of their personal strife and B.S. gets in the way. But today I'll choose to celebrate just in case!

I saw their "Ghost in the Machine" tour. The opening act was The Go-Go's. The audience was an interesting mix of hip young adults and annoying little 12-year-old girls.

I heard some scuttlebut about this a little while ago. Can you imagine how hot those tickets will be?!?! I'll be waiting for more news with baited breath (and praying that there are at least some nosebleeds I can afford).

I read Erika's post about not being able to go to a concert, and I could have written the same thing. I do remember kids in high school going to see Sting's "Dream of the Blue Turtles" tour. It was held at one of the local college arenas, because at that time he was still "the lead singer of the Police' not "STING!!!!!"

I have been lucky enough to have 2nd row seats to see him in concert once, but that was a while ago, and I'd love to see him...especially with The Police....again!

So Sting is in the soundstage across from me and word on the street is that the entire gang may be in there either recording or rehearsing for...something.

Sting is definitely here...the crew members are coy as to whether the whole group is inside. But my window overlooks that stage so stay tuned!

UPDATE: I was let onto the sound stage as the crew called it a day. There aren't any cameras in sight so I don't think it's a music video and the band instruments aren't set up in booths or anything that indicates that it's a recording session. There's just a large catering station, a comfy lounge, the instruments and a mixing area. My hunch is it's a rehearsal of some kind...like a concert? The question is whether it's a solo Sting or the whole group!

Sting has been pretty negative about the idea in the past, so I can't believe it til I hear it. BUT, MY GOD...if it is?!?!?!??

I've seen Sting many times live, but never THE POLICE.

Word from a few reliable sources on the lot say it is indeed the entire band. And when I said, "And by band, you mean The Police and not just Sting's solo band, right?" they said yes. One of the bandmates just left for breakfast.
