Do people just not pay attention? Eminem has always performed along with his own track. Unlike Ashlee last week, his microphone was actually turned on, you could hear the b's and p's popping. This is not unusual for rappers, they have a dj and they rap along with the recordings.

On the other hand, Ashlee went to all the trouble of having a live band.
