I saw Stokes as Sweeney Todd 3 years ago. I have to say that as a huge Sweeney Todd and Stokes fan, I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. His singing and vocal tone were great, but he wasn't convincing. You know that "glare" he gives like in Ragtime, it just didn't work here. He seemed preoccupied onstage. But, I was BLOWN AWAY by Christine Baranski as Mrs. Lovett.
that is tragic. her web site is excellent: http://www.nicoledufresne.com http://www.nicoledufresne.com/burning-cage/ http://www.nicoledufresne.com/matter/index.html
THAT IS SCARY STUFF. I pray that Idina is healing quickly. If I were her, I would not go on at all tomorrow because it's too freaky. Didn't Margaret Hamilton get injured in the trap door on the movie set too? What the heck. She should just stay home and rest tomorrow. And her fans should support that.
I for one am concerned with everyone over there... Amasis and Anthony included (as well as seeral other people I worked with and the thousands I never even met). I do not think the replies from these people are indications that they only care about Anthony. I think they speak out of concern for all. Let's focus on praying for everyone over there, like I previously mentioned, because prayer can change anything.
