Spiderdj82, good for you!! Especially with this being your first election, I'm so glad you cared enough to figure out weird system glitches and go the extra mile to vote today.

I have my fingers optimistically crossed for the senator from MA!

I voted three weeks ago (by absentee ballot), so I missed the actual voting "experience." It's the first election in which I am elligible to vote, so I was kind of upset that I didn't get to actually pull the lever and cast my vote! But I did vote, so that's what counts!

I'm not old enough to vote, but things are just as vicious, if not worse, in highschool... I'm in the heart of Republican country, but there are a few other very vocal Lefties around my school. I think about half my classes just stopped and fought over the whole thing.

The worst thing I heard all day (aside from the anti-gay marriage arguments that make me want to throw something) was my art teacher saying that a president needs a face you can trust. And he's voting for Bush. How does one trust that blank, blinking chimpanzee face?

Voted at 7am on my way to work because I have a committment until 9pm tonight.

Several folks there ahead of me but everything was quick and smooth. YEA!

I know a lot of first time voters on my campus were worried about screwing up. They were scared they would push the wrong button or something along those lines. I admit it was intimidating to wait on the line. It was a scary prospect. But then they had that snazzy blue-checkered curtain closing off the booth to comfort you. I feel a lot calmer now, but the anticipation is palpable. In my American Politics class of about 500 kids, the large majority raised their hands when asked if they voted or planned on voting today. Mostly Kerry supporters too. Not a whole lot of Republicans up here.

My particular quad is virtually all freshman, so it's mostly freshly scrubbed 18-year olds getting out there to rock the vote. Now that most people are awake, a line of about 10 people has been around all day from what I've seen. There's only one polling booth. I'm sure it'll get more hectic as the day wears on and the polling draws to a close. I'm mad at my roommate for not registering to vote. My friend's two roommates aren't voting because "it doesn't matter."

I was gonna quote Louder Than Words from Tick, Tick . . . BOOM! here, but I thought it'd be cheesy to do that on a thread started by Anthony. Hehe.

I love "Louder Than Words." And since I bought it, I thought of this song as bww.com's "Voting for Kerry" song.

I just feel so helpless. I live in NY but I'm not an American citizen, so there's is nothing I can do at the moment except hoping.

I just caught up with a few friends from Europe and I honestly believe that the whole of Europe (apart from Tony Blair) hopes that Bush is finally and properly defeated! If this election took place somewhere else in the world Bush would get less than 10%

I'm amazed it's gonna be a close call. It shouldn't be.

If voter turnout reaches the record levels that are being predicted (some experts are expecting the highest percentage in a modern election since Kennedy-Nixon in 1960), then it won't be close and Kerry will win by a substantial margin.

I posted this on the "Welcome Anthony Rapp" thread, but I wanted to spread the love around. Anyway, since today is Election Day and Anthony (A*K*A Whiteboy Spice) is in the touring company of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. Here is a new rendition of the song, "Final Ultimo (Don't Feed the Plants" that I, spider (with help from Howard Ashman of course ), have come up with just for this occassion.

I hope Kerry wins, not because I like him or I think he'd make a good President. I just think he can't be worse than Bush.
