Elizabeth Montgomery

Today is the tenth anniversary of her death.

I grew up watching 'Bewitched', and I fell deeply in love with her. Who could fail to be charmed by the gorgeous and sparkling Samantha? She really was a talented and much-loved star, and deserves to be remembered forever.

Beautiful and smart and talented.
Loved her.

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

In addition, she made sure her dear friend, Dick York, was taken care of until the end of his difficult run on the show (due to his 'physical things', as he called them.)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her. My favorite actress. She was a dream to watch. I wish, more than anything, that she was still with us and still working. I'm going to watch the old television film, The Victim, today.

In addition, she was the reason why we have the magnificent Agnes Moorehead playing Endora. Moorehead wasn't going to do the show, until Elizabeth talked her into it.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Elizabeth was also a gorgeous woman.

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

somewhere on this board is the paean i made to her, i think in reference to the BEWITCHED remake.

It's nice to know that others here with good taste (and in CONNIE's case, who also taste good) love her as much as i do. There's a great pic of her in CON ME 2's Fanphotos.

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

This is probably an insult to Elizabeth but looking at her "70s" look, I was imagining "Charlie's Angels" with Montgomery, Natalie Wood and Raquel Welch.

Glebb, I would have certainly preferred that cast!

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

Such a good actress was she, I never realized until I was older that Elizabeth also played Serena in Bewitched. I was completely fooled by 'Pandora Spocks'!

Did Lee Remick and Elizabeth ever work together?
They both had great hair.

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

Waaa! This is making me tear up!

Of course I loved her growing up, watching her on Bewitched was a must! Years later, I was the MC for the Pride Parade in LA when she rode in the parade. She latched on to my best friend as he knew sign language and she was being surrounded by deaf fans. He proceeded to play interpreter for her all day and then she invited him to her home!

He said she was the most gracious and lovely person.

Dick York was a gem when I met him at the Orange County Pride Parade (I did a lot of those!)

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

TheatreDiva, I think you mean Dick Sargent. It would be unlikely that Dick York would participate in a Gay Pride parade.

And I think the name she used while playing her sister was "Spooks"

Just gotta say that I second all the good things that have been said about her. I grew up watching Bewitched...

ConvinceMe2, thanks for the pictures!

The Bewitched DVDs will be out next month, so I'll be able to treasure her witchcraft forever. Can't wait!
