re: Elizabeth Montgomery

She was one of a kind.

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

She also did some amazing work following Bewitched (one of my favorite shows)... my favorite was when she played Lizzie Borden - still scary!

I like everything post Bewitched. She's superb in A Case of Rape.

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

she was amazing in anything she did.
I remember wanting her as my mother, and Serena as my Aunt.
A true, CLASS act!
And I can't believe it's been 10 years.......wow

Ah, now I'm going to cry. Those Edna Buchanan films. She only did 2, but was meant to do many more. I also loved When The Circus Came To Town. Oh, god, everything!

re: Elizabeth Montgomery

Diva, you probably meant Dick Sargent at the Orange County Pride Parade. He was Darren II, The Gay One.

I also adored Elizabeth. Particularly her 1974 TV movie of the week, Mrs. Sundance, a sequel of sorts to Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. It co-starred the man who would be her lover for the rest of her life, Mr. Robert Foxworth in all his bearded, hairy chested glory. For this pubescent homo, the fact that you could see the top of his butt crack in a skinny dipping scene was all I needed to make it to my 20s.

What was meant by she made sure that Dick York was taken care of until the end??????

Also, Gig Young is the academy award winning for Best Supporting Actor in 1969 for They Shoot Horse's Don't They, right......well didn't he kill himself, Was she married to him then??????

Also, Does the musical Steer Pier remind you of They Shoot Horse's Don't They?

Questions.....

MTV - what I meant was the end of his run on Bewitched - but obviously that's not how it comes across, so I'm going back to edit that post.

Thanks Jezebel for starting this thread! I have so much respect for Elizabeth Montgomery. Not only was she so talented but a very savvy businesswoman. Along with her then-husband William Asher they built the foundation that made "Bewitched" a success, especially assembling that highly regarded supporting cast and a great team of writers. It was only in later years that the show lost it's egde but an 8 year run is nothing to sneeze at.

I recently saw an intreview online with WIlliam Asher and even after their divorce and as the father of her three children he was very much a part of her life. They remained great friends and he refers to her as the love of his life even though he had since remarried. He also stated that they even contemplated getting back together but he had then remarried and she began a relationship with Robert Foxworth.

If they did things back then like they do now where TV stars have the liberty to go off and do movies I think she would have been a great movie actress as well.

I can't believe it's been 10 years. Her show was on so long and is still in constant reruns that it's almost like she became a part of the family. I can't even imagine a world without "Bewitched" reruns!

Questions.....

I can't imagine a world without Bewitched either, Marquise! I'm so thankful for the re-runs too, because without them I never would have discovered Elizabeth. I used to imagine that I was a relative of Samantha and Endora's, and that I had magical powers. I even went as far as clicking my fingers when I turned on a light! I've grown out of that now, of course...

Questions.....

i saw Foxworth in the recent tour of PROOF, and he can still act and has amazing technique. He is one very attractive older man. What a great couple!
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life..."

Questions.....

Bewitched without Elizabeth Montgomery would have been unimaginable! She was the perfect Samantha. So talented and beautiful - she was taken too soon.

Questions.....

She was so versatile, so much more than "Bewitched". Her work was amazing.

His son, Bo, is involved with Shakespeare Orange County - and the orange didn't fall far from the tree, let me tell you. He is very talented AND sexy - a deadly wonderful combination.

Questions.....

I saw Robert Foxworth in Twelve Angry Men, on Broadway earlier this year, and I don't know about sexy, but he sure was talented.

Elizabeth's daughter Rebecca works on Arrested Development so she's keeping the great sitcom tradition in her family alive!
