I think you're right on the money Jon. Also gender and confidence/manner play a role in voting as well. The more laid back contestants--John, Diana, Jasmine, George--get the most votes. And of the three divas, the easy going Latoya is clearly the most popular. The large number of teenage girls who vote are keeping John and George in and they kept in JPL for longer than he seserved as well.

haha, when we finished taking notes in class today, i played "everyone's a little bit racist" for some of my friends, and some other people started listening around the part where the charactors are arguing over whether jesus was black or white, and someone said "that sounds racist!"
i cracked up. what an ass he looked like.
hahahaha... sigh.

Many people are voting for Red because he has become the victim of so many brickbats hurled at him. The talent is lacking but the spirit is there. You have to feel for the guy

Is it me or is Simon becoming the John Simon of American Idol ?

I think at the end of the season, Simon should be out naked on stage so everyone can hurl stuff at him ( like in vaudeville) or otherwise be humiliated. Besides this show, what is his claim to fame ? After idol, he probably will slink back in to well deserved obscurity

Paula Abdul, prior to idol , could not get herself arrested. Now she is a diva. My brother in law was out in LA & saw her at the show & her nose was up in the air quite high. Sorry, Namo, for parroting again but thought the folks might be interested. Sorry if I offended you.

Actually, I thought Simon was about as kind as I'd ever seen him last night --- when he was speaking to John Stevens. He didn't like the performance (who did?), but he seemed to go out of his way NOT to say horrible things to the kid. I don't think John should have gotten as far as he has in the competition....but he HAS been very mature and taken all the criticism very well. He is 16. Good luck to him...where ever he lands (probably a cruise ship or Vegas lounge).
