Me First and the Gimme Gimees did a whole album of punk showtune covers. They're pretty well done, really.

I LOVE Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Their Summertime (and all the other showtunes from "Are a Drag") are tres fab. Also check out their other stuff. Their oldies covers are GREAT!

Speaking of weird "Over The Rainbow"s, in our concert choir, we're singing this really slow version of the song, and it puts me to sleep whenever we have to rehearse it. I mean, I can barely stand to listen to the song anymore.

I'm pretty sure New Found Glory did a cover of somewhere over the rainbow a looooong time ago. I know I used to have it on a CD a friend of mine burned me...like 4 years ago lol

wow, really? I'm a huge NFG fan, but I never heard of that. They did a CD of movie soundtrack songs, which is pretty good. I'd love to hear them do showtunes.
