I was walking down 34th Street last night from 9th Ave and I looked up and saw it. I usually don't look up, just straight ahead. I don't know what made me look up, but I did and my eyes were met by the Empire State Building and that beautiful lighting design. I even think I gasped. It was really impressive. I loved the shade of royal blue that was used (blue is my favorite color), and then the soft gray in the middle. I just kept on staring at it and almost ran smack into another pedestrian walking in the opposite direction.
It made me happy that I live in New York City. One more think to be thankful for.
