Escalators

Are you a person that stands still on an escalator and lets the machine do its job or are you a person that can't wait to get off the thing and walk up/down the escalator?

I'm a walker. It's not that I can't wait to get off the thing. I just don't see any reason not to participate in the journey. It's not like walking is much effort.

I usually just stand, unless I am in a huge hurry.

I usually just stand. Unless there's someone standing in front of me. Then I walk. Fast.

I stand, all the way to the right, leaving room for anyone who wants to pass me.

Sometimes you have no choice but to walk. I like when the MTA turns off the up escalator and has the down one on. They want a healthy NY
