Ever had an awe moment when YOU were performing? — Page 3

My school was doing a production of My Fair Lady and I was cast as Freddy! I was extremely nervous and I was way off key throughout practices and the director kept telling me he regretted putting me in the production; but on opening night, when I had to sing my song, "On the Street Where You Live", something magnificent burst out of me and I hit every single note and the audience was completely shocked. So when I got off the director, was amazed at my performance and told me that I was wonderful and should be expecting a role in our next production and I should consider a career in voice. I was in a complete state of shock!!

I just finished playing Rosemary in a NYC equity/non eq production of H2$ and the scene where Mr Gatch asks Ponty to lunch and I am expecting him to take me when i said "you look fine ponty..just fine..have a good time" and sing a bit of "happy to keep his dinner warm" reprise, the audience all went AWWWWWWWWWWW one night. I was quite shocked.

I was Annie in my high school's production of Annie Get Your Gun, and during "Anything You Can Do", I got applause for hitting high B flat and the audience applauded midway through the note I had to hold out forever.

It was pretty awesome.

In a show I did last year the final scene involved my character being as far downstage as I could possibly be, on my knees, pleading with one of the other characters not to shoot me and at one performance there was a ton of light on the audience and I could see people sobbing in the first couple of rows....it was pretty incredible

my high school has a show every year for all the american musical theater class students & all the classes do production numbers. But, also my teacher will give out solo's if he thinks you're good so he cut "i'm not that girl" in half & gave myself & this other girl a duet. I'm like really small so people never think i'm such a good singer & i can belt and all. The other girl was big. So, when the concert happened the two of us came out and i started singing, & like the whole audience just was totally quiet. The other girl, not as which kind of freaked me out. But, at the end like we got a really big applause & i had no idea why. I perform a lot so almost all my friends know i CAN sing but one didn't & was in the show, so she just heard voices. But, she goes what happen? There was one person singing really low & kinda bad & the other high & really really amazing. She assumed I was the low one & freaked out when i told her i wasn't, lol. So kind of an awe moment for her & audience.
