Do tell!
Just an evening of Julie speaking.
That was followed by questions. I did not line up for that but after the questions we got to wait in line for an autograph and chat. I asked if any footage existed of 'Camelot' besides The Ed Sullivan Show and she told me to check out the movie. I pouted and she knew what I meant.
But even better - opening night of Joffrey in L.A., 1983 I got to speak with her a lot at the after party.

Glebby, Dahling, we HAVE to have a talk about your priorities!
I know DG!
Glebb: Wow! You are so lucky! I love me some Julie! I was obsessed with MARY POPPINS as a kid, followed by THE SOUND OF MUSIC a few years later.
Confession: Whenever I was told to clean up my room, I would snap my fingers and make pretend that the clothes/toys/junk were putting themselves away. Of course, they didn't really; it was just me picking them up, but I had a vivid imagination. (Who are you to judge me?)
BTW: I love Julie's retort! Did you really pout? Furthermore, did you discover anything new at that 1983 after party?
If only we could tidy up by the snap of a finger!
In 83 I learned that she was a very nice lady who is very kind to fans. Blake Edwards said that he had not wanted to go the ballet but he was glad Julie made him. They were working on 'The Man Who Loved Women' at the time.
That's so cool! *jealous*
Is Joffrey a ballet? Were you in it?
Joffrey is a ballet company.
I danced with them and in 1983 we became the resident company of the L.A. Music Center.
There's more. To draw one's eyeteeth means 'to take the conceit out of one'.
I love that, but I love more the newer British slang "to take the piss out" of someone. In Bridget Jones' Diary, one of the characters says that Mrs. Havisham wouldn't have sat around so long in her wedding dress if she'd had some good friends to come round and take the piss out of her.
I can think of a few friends of mine who need some good friends to come round and take the piss out of them, but around here I think we call it an intervention. That's much less fun.
