Anyone I know who has done it, is obsessed. They claim they'll never pluck again.
My peeps in Jackson Heights are supposed to be the best.

I do threading and it hurts like bloody hell.
I would look like Trekkie Monster without threading.

I've been getting waxed for years, but I decided to try threading today.
I went to this great Indian woman on Greenich Ave.
It didn't hurt at all, and there was absolutely no redness.

I get 'em waxed...hurts like hell, but who said beauty was painless? At least for us women, hehe. In fact, I had them waxed yesterday. Freaky.

Posted: 1/12/06 at 4:24pmI found threading to be less painful and much more accurate than waxing.

Posted: 1/12/06 at 4:26pmI can't believe how good they look. They look much more natural, and I still have the top layer of my skin around my eyes.

I hate both. I have naturally thick eyebrows like Brooke Shields.
Weight lifting hurts less.
I HATE IT!

Posted: 1/12/06 at 4:27pmWhen I had my latest headshots, I went to Warren Tricomi to get my brows cleaned up, since they're thick. She used tweezers and wax, and there were involuntary tears streaming down my face.

Posted: 1/12/06 at 4:33pmI get my eyebrows waxed every other week when I go in to get my nails done. It hurt when I first started getting them done, but I guess I'm used to it by now.

Um, I'm pretty sure that's not where he was even going with guys...
Edit: Oh, I had them threaded once and it hurt so. effing. badly. The result was gorgeous, but I'd never do it again. I was literally crying. I get them waxed occasionally, but I usually just get lazy and pluck them.

Great Indian Women on Greewich. (8th st. & 6th Ave.) I never had it done, and thought it was going to hurt, but it was not nearly as bad as having them waxed.
I'm a true believer. And, at $7 and 10 minutes, it is much cheaper and better than some little asian lady blowing on a stick (no happy ending) and shmearing my eyes. A couple times, it left little scabs up there. Don't need that.

Posted: 1/12/06 at 6:26pmJust got my first threading done last week and would never go back to plucking. (Never waxed because of the possible imprecision.) Even though she didn't tell me exactly what it entailed, and suddenly it felt like she was sawing off the skin around my eyes, the end result is truly fantastic. And you only need to get it redone every 2-3 weeks. CAD$5.
