Shining down on me

Beta Centauri
Eyes Of The Llama
First magnitude stars
Two southern twinklers
Still haunting me

I made my way to Lake Titicaca
Largest lake in South America
Not far from the city of La Paz
In the landlocked country Bolivia

It was a Southern Skies Star Party
Astronomers from around the world
As they gazed at the llamas eyes
I saw the eyes of a Bolivian girl

Still haunting me

Solo

She was 18 but still a virgin
Inexperienced in the ways of love
We spent that night on the Titicaca shore
Beneath those southern constellations

I got an email four months later
It told me I was to be a daddy

The llama's eyes were a one time thing
