Anyone got any stories of your productions messing up...
Our school is doing Wait Until Dark and the main character is blind...so we did the blindfold run through for SUZY(character) to learn how to walk and she was doing great until the blackout suddenly she ran right off the stage and had no clue where she was, she landed on top of a overhead...it was hilarious...unfortunately i fell running in the dark too

When I stage managed for Once Upon a Mattress, we had a really quick scene change where the three really heavy castle walls had to be out and hinge pinned together in a matter of about 2 minutes.
There was a lot of running, tripping, falling, and spilling of water we had behind the wall for the moat scene.

During a production of The Mikado, we had the most beautiful set ever! It was the same for both acts, just a change of benches and flower pots... I was on crew and our job was to move the benches and flower pots, it was a joke to have a crew of 12 and have a job for maybe three people. But on the set, there was a set of functioning double doors that liked to stick, and our KoKo was supposed to come out of those doors, but he got stuck, but luckily he is a great comedic actor, so he totally improvised something... Funny, but almost devistating event!
