I'm intrigued by people who have real 'stardom', and then time passes them by.

Arguably, one of our most vital 'living legends' is Lauren Bacall - who has made no secret of wanting to be visible (at least up until a short while ago.) And yet, she couldn't be hired to open a super market.

This whole construct of 'fame' is false, and always has been. The only thing that counts is what's happening in your own existence. Want to be famous? Be your own biggest fan.

Grant Goodeve is the host of a local Seattle show, Northwest Backroads.

Lauren Tewes (Julie/Love Boat) also lives in Seattle, performing in local theaters and selling cheese at a specialty store.
