Well, not exactly as the title suggests but still a dig at the former Governor of Alaska.I thought it was hilarious but it may offend some. OBVIOUSLY, she will take to her Facebook page and paint herself out as the victim as usual and demand Fox fire Seth Macfarlane and cancel FAMILY GUY.

Regardless as to whether people will find this offensive or not, I'm very happy that McFarlane did it.
I so hate the way Palin plays the martyr role in terms of being persecuted by the media. She spends an inordinate amount of time threatening every media outlet (it seems) that dares to disagree with her.
And most of them seem to back down. Bitch needs to tussle with someone who doesn't care about her incessant whining and empty threats, and MacFarlane seems like that guy.
It would have been better if he would have made fun of her politics rather than her family, but after she hypocritically shamed Emanuel while giving Limburger a pass, Palin really politicized the situation herself.
Of course, Fox may add pressure but if they let it air then I have a feeling that they'll stay out of it.
Well said. I agree. Sarah SHOULD be Ok with this because she said it was OK for Rush to use the R word because it was satire. So, unless she wants her BS to come back she would be wise to keep her mouth shut for once.Fox refused to let Seth air the now famous "abortion" episode of FAMILY GUY because they fear there would be a boycott.Keep in mind, Rush Limbaugh and Karl Rove will appear in an upcoming episode this season. If anyone lashes out at Family Guy simply remind them Karl and Rush seem to think it's OK to do the show so how bad can it be?
I don't think it is funny to make fun of someone because they have down syndrome.
However, FAMILY GUY did not do that. They intelligently wrote an episode that was very appropriate.
family guy has been poking fun at everyone for years... people in wheelchairs, gay people, black people, asian people, fat people... how is this any different from peter trying to bribe a black judge with a subscription to "orange soda quarterly" or tom and diane eating trisha when there was no other food and saying "maybe we should be eating her with chopsticks"?
i'll be the first to admit that, as someone with a disability, i think the wheelchair/paraplegic jokes they do are hilarious. my friends who use wheelchairs or have some sort of disability think they're hilarious. but still, some people get all upset, saying things like "what if a person in a wheelchair saw that?"
i think it's time people stop being offended for other people.
i find this thread to be highly offensive to people with both families and guys. i am asking the advertisers to pull their ads from this thread in the hopes that romantico will learn his lesson. should that fail, i'll tell some muslims that he drew cartoons about muhammed. this is about what kind of message board we want to be!
I liked Stephen Colbert's direct approach...
Sarah Palin is a Fcuking Retard.
And I'm in the process of dressing up a TV star as Sarah for a benefit out here in LA.
All of this is like a gift she is just handing us!
Maybe you should write the person who wrote it.

This is nothing new. I found the episode to be hillarious.
Well, Sarah has now responded, right on schedule.

I'll say it again. The title is a bit misleading because they in no way mock the disabled but more Sarah Palin. The girl with down syndrome is the bully and Chris even says in the end you are just like the rest of us A-holes. How is comparing someone with down syndrome as being just like us mocking them? I think if people actually saw the clip rather than respond to the what the OP at Huffpost wrote would clearly see they are wrong being offended at the character. I see it different. I see Chris finding the girl with down syndrome pretty and wanting to ask her out s being anything but mocking the disabled. If you don't like Family Guy or get the humor, that's fine. It's clearly not for everyone. However,to attack Family Guy for creating a character who has down syndrome who acts like the rest of us is just not true. I suggest everyone to watch the clip before making any final decision. Or better yet, watch the entire episode to see how this character with DS is portrayed. Some of the comments to the OP at Huffpost are saying the same thing. The title is misleading. I would change it but I want people to see the clip and judge for themselves
Stevie's reaction to Meg's queef in the tub had me literally falling out of my chair this morning.

The fact that this is a direct personal attack, I find it offensive.
"When you're the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent. People with special needs face challenges that many of us will never confront, and yet they are some of the kindest and most loving people you'll ever meet. Their lives are difficult enough as it is, so why would anyone want to make their lives more difficult by mocking them? As a culture, shouldn't we be more compassionate to innocent people - especially those who are less fortunate? Shouldn't we be willing to say that some things just are not funny? Are there any limits to what some people will do or say in regards to my little brother or others in the special needs community? If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they're heartless jerks. - Bristol Palin"
I agree with that because reading this thread I thought of the kids, not Sarah Palin, and I don't find this right at all...
Do you honesty believe Bristol Palin wrote that? Or do you think perhaps, it was Palin's handlers and PR people decided it was the best route to spin this to gain sympathy for Palin and her brood? I did not think it was a jab at the kids when I saw the show more of an off handed jab a Palin, specially with her recent hypocrisy with the use of the word "RETARD".
Sarah Palin if you can't take the satirical jabs at you and your family, stop being a dumb ass in public and stop carrying around your kid as a photo op prop! Actually do us all a favor and go back to the back woods and jack deer or kill a moose. Leave us the F alone!
Well, many people are just too ignorant. All these people complaining,I have to ask if they actually saw the clip or episode. THEY IN NO WAY MOCK PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME. The OP at Huffpost got it wrong. Chris falls for a girl who has DS because he thinks she is nice and beautiful. How is that mocking people with DS? I want Sarah and Bristol to explain that to me. While they are at it why is it OK for Rush to say the R word when it is satire and not Family Guy? Sarah wants it both ways.I PRAY Seth releases a comment trashing the Palin's for their double standards and hypocrisy!
Oh, and has anyone heard Bristol Palin speak? Bristol preaches Abstinence and tells young girls not to have sex. Just like her Mom, she is an idiot! Listen to her try and BS her way out of this clip with Oprah.

Anyone who thinks Bristol wrote that after watching this clip is a moron!!!
The actress who voiced Chris' date Ellen does have Downs' Syndrome in real life. If you watched the clip the portrayal of Ellen was pretty positive.

I wish the girl who did the voice of the character would speak out. Sarah and Bristol insulting a girl with DS is a headline they do not want!
The whole storyline of Chris falling for a girl with Down's Syndrome I thought was actually very sweet. Yes Stewie did mock her some, but no worse than FG has done blacks, gays, handicapped, Asians, etc. And I loved the Down's Syndrome song :)
If anything I think the clip was more a jab at Palin than her son.
Leave it to Sarah to whore out her other child with a fabricated statement.
Such a stupid, ignorant, mule.
Dear god how I loathe her.
Someone needs a pie in the face sooooooo bad!
Family Guy IS satire at it's best.
Too bad Sarah's rule book only applies to her and her friends.
Just when I think she couldn't be any more stupid, she surprises me!
Sarah Palin does a good enough job making fun of herself. That joke on Family Guy was just icing.

one of my favorite scenes in Family Guy was when Peter was diagnosed as retarded... and he goes to Joe to ask him about it but Joe says he's disabled and not retarded... Peter's reaction to that was HILARIOUS! something like... well now you're just splitting hairs... oh man... i couldn't stop laughing at that line.. i had to rewind it!
