Are there any famous playwrights, who works focus on the location of The Bronx? Or have written famous plays about that location?

I'm fromma Bronx.

The most famous is Paddy Chayefsky's "Marty."

And isn't Awake and Sing set in the Bronx?

"The Subject Was Roses" by Bronx playwright Frank D. Gilroy.

Yes, "Awake and Sing" (by Clifford Odets, raised in the Bronx, born in Philadelphia) and "Doubt" (by Bronx playwright John Patrick Shanley) are set in the Bronx.

"The Indian Wants the Bronx" by Israel Horovitz (not from the Bronx)

Neil Simon, born in the Bronx, but grew up in Washington Heights.
Jules Feiffer is from the Bronx
