i'd also point out that some of the insight into the musical theatre canon shown on this site suggests:
even if a poster is not famous, there are abilities evidenced here that portend they could become so.
Would any of us really like to go down in theatre anecdote history as the bitchy dismissive poster that belittled the next Bernadette, Chita, Tommy Tune, Harold Prince, Sondheim, or even (shudder) Frank Rich?
i can see the Tony digicast (streamed over the WWW as well as televised) in 2025: "Thank you for my unprecedented tenth Tony. To *insert your handle here* from BroadwayWorld.com, just five words: this bitch told you so. *applause and catcalls* To quote Fred Ebb: tomorrow belongs to me."
We all might take for granted the apparent misguided youth that congregrate here, but we might also want to remember they hold the legacy we enjoy so much in their future.
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys.
"I guarantee that we'll have tough
times. I guarantee that at some point
one or both of us will want to get out.
But I also guarantee that if I don't
ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for
the rest of my life..."
