It is believed that Nathan posted here at one time--and might still. (and not the poster that was declared to not be Nathan)
And, it is believed that some stars do at least peruse this site. And, much of what is said here gets back to people--which is why one should always be respectful when criticizing. There is a certain poster here that knows EXACTLY that such thing--his comments got back to the star, who luckily was a good sport about it. And there is a certain poster here who found out that nice things got back to the actor.

Amen! haha When I posted my Evita tour review, Bradley Dean (who plays Che in the tour) read it and posted on my thread. I thought that was pretty cool. It's a good thing I didn't have anything bad to say

Some folks post under their own names, some under psuedonyms, and some just lurk here and, sometimes on "fan" sites.
But from VIVID personal experience let me tell you, they sometimes reach out, tap you on the shoulder and let you know that they know who you are...
And sometimes...nice things can happen because of it.
I know this from personal experience. :o) So, post carefully, my friends. You never know what comments might spark a contact.
Plus, you never know who other posters know. (I'm looking at a wonderful Christmas card just this minute. *winks at the sender.*)

Actually, mef, what happened was that a fellow poster pm'ed me to tell me that Ms. McGovern had been able to contact a mutual friend of hers and that poster's from hearing about where said friend had relocated from info on this board - so who knows if she herself was reading, or perhaps an assistant, friend, or coworker, who gave her the heads-up.
