Faux-hawk?

I'm thinking about getting a faux-hawk haircut. Is it going out of fashion, or can I still pull it off?

i don't know exactly what that is, but it sounds adorable. Reminds me of my youthful days in the 80s. But asian hair isn't kinky. You're gonna need lots of goo to keep it hard, so to speak.

Its the most stupid look being worn today - right up there with the white trash habbit of wearing flip-flops in public - totally tasteless and not at all attractive on anyone.

Is that the fish-fin thing? It's not bad. I've seen much worse. Like the mullet or the long tail still being worn on men who think 80s straight porn is chic. And for some reason, Chicago must be the toupeé capital of the US. I've never seen so many bad rugs outside an IKEA clearance corner.

Not to mention what women are wearing. YIKES! Fashion is at its lowest since the mid-70s. The sooner low-rise anything leaves, the better. Don't people realize they don't look good on anyone over 100 pounds regardless of body type? And the low-rise mini skirts! HIDEOUS! They make me physically nauseous.

You can say that again! re: Faux-hawk?

I'm thinking about a bit of a faux-hawk, not as pronounced as Adam Fleming's. Just a bit longer on the top, like a rooster.

hmmm, maybe this IS a bad idea.

Only if you can get a time machine so you can go back two years ago when it was marginally cool.

If I'm not mistaken, a faux-hawk is when you're too chickensh*t to get a REAL mohawk with the sides shaved and everything, so you just gel all of your hair up into a mohawk without shaving it. At least that what it we call it here.

I'd say, go all out and get the real deal.

Or, a mullet. For some strange reason people these days find mullets attractive.

*shrug*

Go for it.
They are quite sexy.
But most importantly...DO WHAT YOU WANT.

And flip-flops are quite sexy too. Don't listen to these crazies who have have all day to spend posting mindless fasion tips on a broadway message board.

Not that...that's..me....

Flip flops have never been and will never be "sexy". They are trendy, which is just the designers finding a way to sucker people out of more money for awful fashion. They're laughing all the way to the bank.

I grew up wearing flip flops...of course, now they're called thongs. I suppose that makes them "Sexy" in some way. My flip flops sit by the door and are useful for those quick trips to the garbage area or to the bodega across the street. I otherwise hate the thought of my bare feet being so close to the nastiness that is a New York City sidewalk.

Urgh, I hate low-rise jeans. But I can barely find any other kind now. So I either have to shop more (which I hate) or invest in belts. Lots of belts.
