So which is it, folks? No foreign beers here, pal. You save that for your fancy-pantsy European friends.
I'm groovin' on Shiner Bock myself. Have yet to try Brooklyn Ale. And of course there's good ol' Budweiser. Drink a can, you gotta buzz....squeeze some lemon in, you've created enchantment!
And when the hell did the hipsters take over Pabst Blue Ribbon?
Miller, Bud and Sam Adams Light. And I also love the Fat Tire beers from here in Colorado. Coors does a holiday beer that you can only get here.

You live in the PNW borstal. I recommend trying this at least once, from Bend, Oregon. It will only be around one year. (Twentieth anniversary special.) 11% alcohol, using the finest hops, coffee and chocolate. $10. a 22 oz. bottle, but hey it's special!
Black Butte XX
Ohhhh the Northwest microbrews. Nummy memories!
You just know Black Butte was made by a gay man.
ANCHOR STEAM!
Brewed in San Francisco for years.
I love it... thanks to my father introducing me to it...
I would KILL to walk into a beer-garden somewhere in New York City and find it!!!

Golden Monkey, from the Victory Brewing co. in Downingtown, Pa. They brew a few other brands, but this is my favorite.

ABOUT
Strong and sensual, this golden, Belgian-style ale glows with goodness. The richness of German malts and Belgian yeast are tempered by a sparkling approach and overall light body. Considerable depth of character with abundant herbal, fruity notes make this one to savor.
COMPOSITION
Malts: 2 row German malt
Hops: European whole flowers
Yeast: imported, of Belgian origin
Alcohol by volume: 9.5%
I love pretty much anything by the New Belgium Brewing Company, but my particular favorites are Fat Tire, 1554, and Skinny Dip. Absolutely delicious!
But when the time is late and I can only get beer from a gas station because the liquor stores are closed, I have to go with the Champagne of Beers: Miller High Life. In a 24 oz can, there's nothing better

I have a few favorites. My hometown favorites are Anchor Steam and Hunters Point Porter. I also like Fat Tire and most of what Sudwerk brews because it's what I drank in college thanks to $1 pint nights
I have to try that Fat Tire stuff.
Slightly off-topic (not domestic), have any of you ever tried Chimay? I've never tried it but I've always been curious.

I drank like four Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgeralds tonight. That was good. I mean, if I'd been able to hear myself thinking over all the loud music, I would have fully had Gordon Lightfoot stuck in my head too.
I think Dogfish Head is one of my consistent favorites.
edmund fitzgeralds? wow. that's about as tasteless as naming a beer virginia tech massacre or columbine.
i'll stick with pbr and miller lite. in cans.

For godsakes people, no. No. I can not sit American idly by as Miller, Bud, Coors and PBR brand names are tossed around as if they are not synonyms for swill. The rice and corn congeners in their "recipes" are a guaranteed headache.
Seriously, life is too short to drink that crap.
You must investigate and discover a whole new world:
Beer Advocate
oooooooo, here comes namo and his fancy-pants, high-falootin', elitist of the elite beer that sneers at you as you pour it!
i agree with you on bud and coors. but you back off my pbr and my miller lite, mister! less filling! tastes great!

Papa, clearly you have made up your own mind and are in no way influenced by marketing taglines. I salute your "just do it" attitude.
you're lucky that tonight is kinda special or i'd tell you to head for the mountains, mister. now if you'll excuse me i have to get back to the best part of waking up.
