The Little Mermaid, because it just seemed that they went to such lengths to make sure this movie was an oustanding return to the tradition of animated Disney movie musicals.
Of course, Sleeping Beauty comes in a close second!

Fantasia is one of the most ambitious films ever made and incredibly exhilirating, so I shall go with that one.
But as for a Disney film with a narrative, I'd go with Beauty and the Beast.

Posted: 7/3/06 at 12:23amI'd definetely have to go with Aladdin. Robin Williams as genie couldn't be better, and it was this animated film that really got me into Disney, in general. In fact, I still know and sing every song from the movie.

Sleeping Beauty as far as classics go...I thought she was by far the most beautiful princess. I was really jealous of my older sister when I was younger, because she's blonde and looked more like Aurora than me, lol.
Out of the more modern movies, I'd have to say Aladdin. I had the biggest crush on him for a LONG time.

hmmm, probably my favorite is The Little Mermaid. But Robin Hood is good, and Rescuers. Fox and the Hound is another good one that, from my point of view, not a lot of people know about.
ones that I hate are Bambi, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, never really fond of Cinderella, and Dumbo.
~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
~Curtains~
~A Tale of Two Cities ~

Beauty and the Beast is probably the best film Disney has ever made.
I have two personal favs though, Snow White because it was incredibly dark and creepy and Hercules because The Muses are just like the most awesome if not most original idea ever. I love that movie.

It had a very dark, sinister side, (Pleasure Island) but no matter how many times i watched it, i always saw something new the next time.

Pick just one? That's too hard! I have to pick at least two:
Animation: Beauty and the Beast, perfect in almost every way!
General: Bedknobs and Broomsticks, I've seen this movie soooo many times and I still think it's wonderful...

Little Mermaid was the first movie I ever saw in a movie theatre so it'll always be one of my favorites. I also like Aladdin.
For live action, Pirates would be my favorite.

Posted: 7/3/06 at 8:41amIt's impossible to pick just one Disney movie. I love them all (with just a couple of exceptions), so I'll say 'Snow White' -possibly my earliest cinema memory, 'Pinnochio' - perfect for everyone who wishes on a star, 'Dumbo' - the kid who was picked on coming out on top, 'Peter Pan - the boy who never grew up, 'Lady And The Tramp' - 'Bella Notte' is one of the most romantic Disney moments ever, 'Fox And The Hound' - for the best of friends, 'Little Mermaid' - part of your world, 'Beauty And The Beast' - barely even friends, then somebody bends, 'Aladdin' - dreamed big, 'Hunchback' - 'Heaven's Light' is beautiful as well as Tom Hulce's 'Out There'. Impossible to pick just one. Whenever you're having a bad day, stick on a Disney dvd and you're smiling on no time.

It would have to be a tie between Sleeping Beauty and Lady and The Tramp for me!
Second favorite - Mary Poppins
ETA: I also remember enjoying Song of The South when I was a child. I don't think this film is available anymore.

Mary Poppins. It's the first film I ever saw, when I was three years old in New York. Mom was worried I would be bored or fidgity, so she kept trying to make sure I was okay... and I kept telling her to be quiet.
She knew that I was going to be a film fan right from the start. She couldn't believe how caught up I got in it... at the ripe old age of 3!
Of the animated ones, I'd say Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan. I had "flying" dreams for months after each of those.

Sleeping Beauty! I've just always loved that movie. It might have been the three faries because I loved whenever they were making the cake and dress and changing it from blue to red.
Honorable Mentions include: 'The Little Mermaid' 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Lady and the Tramp'

Posted: 7/3/06 at 4:16pmI loved Hercules. The muses were my favorite, and I am pretty sure were mostly voiced by Broadway actresses, at least I know Lillias White, LaChanze and Roz Ryan were muses. Susan Egan was Megara too. Plus "I Won't Say I'm in Love" is one of my favorite Disney songs. Definitely an underrated Disney film.

Posted: 7/3/06 at 5:45pmThe Lion King makes my dad cry! Although it is a sad part when Mufasa dies, I think the way he cries is HYSTERICAL. He tries to hide it, but it's so obvious. okay my threadjack is over.
