Anthony Hopkins in Magic. He was already a well established actor in theatre and tv here in the UK. This was an early foray into what was to become an incredible film career...

The movie that brought Russell Crowe to major attention wasn't ROMPER STOMPER but an amazing, forgotten film called PROOF, which also had Hugo Weaving. I still think its Crowe's most charming performance...still in his mid-twenties, he was charming, sexy, and humorous. Not at all that stone-faced grim reaper he is now.

She isn't exactly 'Well-known,' but Erin Mackey, who plays Glinda in Chicago's WICKED production, is by far my favorite. She was Lindsay Lohan's opposit in the Parent Trap. Well, whenever they were in the same scene she was the opposit. She was also in one of those, 'You're Invited To Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen's...' FASHION PARTY!! Video. She was so cute.
Sorry I just had to share.
How about Val Kilmer in Top Secret? That's such an underrated movie.
Angelina Jolie -- Gia
Kirsten Dunst Interview with a Vampire
Jerry Oconnel Stand By Me
Natalie Wood in Miracle on 34th Street (which, while not her first, was a very early role for her...and if we want to go earlier she was good in Tomorrow is Forever too, though 34th street was better.)

Oh my God, really? I have to dig that out of storage...

It's become kind of sick, at this point - but at the time, seeing a young Mel Gibson frolick on an Australian beach in TIM (with Piper Laurie!) was pretty wonderful.

DG, I know what you mean, Gibson is at the height of his beauty in TIM, which I think was his first film. He was really something special once, before he went crazy.

I adored Christian Bale in "Empire of the Sun." He was amazing, and at only 13 years old! I was completely impressed, and the movie is so interesting. It's definitely one of my favorites.
Laurence Olivier in AS YOU LIKE IT...not a great movie, but damn is he scrumptious! That lucky, lucky Danny Kaye!!
