Tom Waits' rendition of "Somewhere" gives me chills.
Oh yes... love Dar Williams. Saw her a couple of years ago, wonderful.

And I forgot to mention Christine Lavin before.

Love Odetta! How about Nina Simone? I also saw a young woman on one of Judy Garland's TV show and she was terrific. Don't recall her name.

Peter, Paul and Mary. I would love to see them live in a concert.

Ah, yes, the late, great Eva Cassidy. What a treasure! Her voice was so clear and beautiful.
Peter, Paul & Mary
Woody and Arlo Guthrie
Joan Baez
Judy Collins
Bob Dylan
Gordon Lightfoot
Tom Paxton
I just know I am forgetting some.
But I also love very early Clannad When they were singing mostly in Gaelic.
Got Joni Mitchell HITS this evening.
Will go on the iPod tomorrow.
I second alot of the ones who have been mentioned but I'd like to add Carole King. I cannot listen to Tapestry enough. Also, BJ Thomas, Cat Stevens and Jim Croce. (can we consider them to be folk singers?)
