Summer is the best time to cook in my opinion, and it is really when I cook the most!
I was hoping you guys could share some of your favourite summer recipes!
Heres one of mine:

I like putting strawberries and calamondin/kalamansi (tiny orange-like things that have a bit of a lime flavor) in lemonade. One time I mashed the fruit first and the flavor came out a lot more, but I always forget to do it again. Unfortunately, my mom's calamondin trees seem to have died... =/ I could really go for some blood orange juice right now.

My lavender plant has really taken off this year. It's doubled in size. Maybe I'll try this recipe when it blooms.

Lavender is one of my favorites. I make a muffin with lavender in it and it is wonderful. Also, the fragrance while baking is good.
Speaking of cooking, does anyone know a good Turkish Delight recipe? I have never tried it before, but after watching The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, it just looked sooo good. It looked so gooey and damn tasty. I have such a sweet tooth.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe has made me want to try Turkish Delight since I was 12. [google images Turkish Delight] Ah, it looks so good...
There are some recipes for it online, I think if I ever try it I'll go for the one on allrecipes.com, since I seem to have all the ingredients listed there. The other ones ask for things like rosewater or tartar. Though I wonder if leaving those out would make it less authentic.
Oh I looked up that recipe and it does look really easy! I just wonder where you get the rosewater or if you can use other ingredients for flavor. There is a World Market close to where I live, and they have everything. So, I might just check too see if they have rosewater.
