You're kissing Scorpio there, aren't you? I'm just barely a Libra (Sept 25.... my shoe size is 9 1/2 and I like to go to the opera, just in case anyone was going to make out a gift list....).

A Libra/Scorpio mutt, you must be VERY feisty. The only other Libra I knew had so many men wrapped around her fingers, she had to wrap some around her toes. I also have a good friend who is a Scorpio and who makes The Women seem like my nice, sweet grandmother.

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I love Never Gonna Dance....
Oh wait, that's for the support group...

In other news....Shoutout to Tina (Broadway NYC)!

Another Wagner girl here, current sophomore majoring in Arts Administration with a concentration in Theatre, and a pointless minor in German (one of those "aww, what the hell..." things).

I'm 19, regrettably from Long Island, currently living on SI, working in Times Square (tourists suck).

My favorite shows are Cabaret, A Chorus Line, The Full Monty, Chicago, Avenue Q, and from what I've heard on the CD, the Lippa "Wild Party" sounds like it belongs up there too.
Favorite performers are Donna Marie Asbury, Liz McConahay, Will Chase, Kate Shindle, Michele Pawk, and Noah Racey. (Chita Rivera goes without saying as Chita is Queen of the World)

If I could see one person perform live it'd probably have to be.....Megan Mullally. She sorta rocks....

Hey, so any more Wagner peeps here? PM me!

re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Private Message to Mr. Matt (No one else should read this)

My name is Broadway Bulldog. My bark is far worse than my bite.

I live in the 10023 Zip Code, that's Manhattan, Lincoln Center area. I moved into this neighborhood when the Godiva on Columbus Avenue between 71st & 72nd Streets was a fruit and vegtable market, when there was a movie theatre at 72nd & Broadway instead of Urban Outfitters, when Barnes and Noble was a foreign film house, when Loews Sony Lincoln Center was the U.S. Post Office and when the Regency on Broadway was showing dreams in 35mm nightly in place of Ollie selling noodles.

Originally I'm from South Florida, where my family has been since the early 1800's. I was one of the another 100 people who move into Manhattan daily. For me it was summer 1974, fresh from a political science degree and a failed romance. I had no job, no place to live and I didn't know anyone in town. Today I'm involved in the entertainment business (go figure). I met my partner in 1975. Our first date was to see A CHORUS LINE in previews at the Shubert Theatre. My partner had already seen it down at the Public ("I guess I wouldn't mind seeing it again") and had personal friends in the cast. We've been together since. Along the way I earned a culinary degree or two.

LIKES: My extended family; Yankees baseball; Giants football; the theatre (musical, not so musical and no music); films: Hollywood, indies, and foreign; Broadway showtunes; jazz; classical and opera; vocalists; American Popular Songbook (after the Beetles it all went downhill for the most part); movie soundtracks; hot dogs from Papaya King; 4-star dining at Taillevant on Paris' right bank; good cigars with a glass of port; Stilton on a graham cracker; warm British ale with bangers and mash, or a bag of crisps; red wines over white, except for Veuve Clique which I could drink every night; Oscar Wilde; Eugene O'Neill; Tennessee Williams; Edward Albee; Jowe Orton; The End of The Affair (G. Greene); the Pre-Raphaelites; museums; Piaf; Alan Jay Lerner; French literature and history; London history; Trollope, Dickens; Galsworthy's Forsyte Saga; American history and classic American literature beginning with Hawthorne; murder mysteries starting with Edgar Allan Poe; BBC America, especially Changing Rooms and Murder in Mind; walks in Central Park; Andrew Lloyd Weber's art collection, many others things, too.

DISLIKES: Hidden agendas; overt agendas designed soley to confront and provoke; deliberate cruelty; 3rd world cuisine; overly long news articles and opinion columns; talentless individuals walking around in the emperor's new clothes; Andrew Lloyd Weber's music, the list is much much longer

Books I'm reading: The Crimson Petal and The White (M. Farber), Everything Was Possible (T. Chapin); Possession (A.S.Byatt), London The Biography (P. Ackroyd); The Romance of Soho (a history of London's Soho by E. Beresford Chancellor); 1700 (M. Waller)

Astrological Sign: Libra

I can be thoughtless, arrogant and a snob; and I am often generous, senstive to others, and even cry reading some newspaper articles.

I do wear blue plaid boxers from Brooks Brothers.

I volunteer my time to create the quizes on BroadwayWorld.com. DollyPop is recruiting me to help with the upcoming cookbook.

Yours for a better Broadway (things can always improve)

Introducing Myself

Hi everyone! :) My name is Leehee, which means "she is for me" in Hebrew. I have an identical twin, and her name is Hilla, which means "she is for her" . I guess my parents thought it's cute.. It's not the most common name, though, and old people and non-Hebrew speakers always have a hard time with it. That's why I sometimes go by Lee. I'm 23 years old and I live in a central city in Israel. I'm a female, btw. :)

I studied filmmaking for a year before switching to Informal education- because I'm very good with children and I decided that working with them is what gives me the greatest joy. I don't want to be a teacher, though, and that's why I chose this route. I'm currently in my second year and I'm really enjoying myself. As it is mandatory here, I served in the Israeli army for two years between the ages of 18-20, and afterwords I travelled abroad for a while. Then I started my job here in Israel- I work for the Jewish Agency and I LOVE my job. I train young people to be good ambassadors of the Israeli culture in American Jewish summer camps, and that is why I spend a lot of time (at least 4 months out of each year) in the United States.

My two biggest passions are theater and films, and I try to see as many shows and movies as I possibly can. I love all genres- Drama, comedy, musicals, foreign- almost everything except for horror. I especially enjoy old Hollywood movies from the 40's and 50's. A few favorites:
Favorite Movies- Funny Girl, Yentl, The Quiet Man, From Here To Eternity, The Parent Trap (1961 version), Under The Sand, Afterglow, All About Eve, Bringing Up Baby.
Favorite Actors- Barbra Streisand, Maureen O'Hara, Deborah Kerr, Charlotte Rampling, Julie Christie, John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Maggie Smith, Bette Davis, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Emma Thompson, Jeff Bridges.

On Broadway, I really love Louise Pitre most of all- I think she is an absolutely sensational performer (and a really great lady, too, which doesn't hurt). I also got to see one of my idols, Julie Harris, perform- which was a thrilling experience.

Artists and music I listen to: Barbra Streisand, ABBA, Louise Pitre, Alanis Morissette, The Indigo Girls, Edith Piaf, Josh Groban and of courese OBC albums and movie soundtracks.

3 years ago I would have said the performer I would most like to see live is Barbra Streisand...but I saw her TIMELESS concert in L.A. in September 2000 AND attented the taping of the Actor's Studio show she did in September 2003, so I'm satisfied in that regard. :)
I guess I would have to say Dame Maggie Smith, who is GOD. What I wouldn't do to see her on stage....

Glad to get to know you all! :)

Lee

I am the father of Son of Mamamia Sam.

I am often mistaken as Ruben Studdard, however I am not him. As you can see from our pictures, Son of Mamamia Sam and I bare a striking resemblance.

Karen Ziemba is so wonderful...
She was so down to earth, just a real nice person. She went to dinner with my mother and I between shows (because my mom loved her in 'Crazy for You'), and the few times that the cast and I were out for dinner and drinks, she was the nicest one of the bunch... just really trying to draw people out...

Master you've posted three times without revealing your secret identity. It is building suspense, but I understand of you don't. It's like Superman. If you reveal your true identity your enemies will be able to attack you easier and you will have endless people falling at your feet wanting you to just touch them or help them. re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Introducing Myself Your powers will be weakened. What is your weakness by the way? Kryptonite? Chocolate? Pleather? re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Introducing Myself

re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Introducing Myself

OK, son, you've convinced me.

My name is MasterLcZ. The name has nothing to do with S&M but every so often I still get a few IMs from people wanting to "serve me" when I check my AOL mail ("A chicken salad with lettuce and tomato and a diet coke from the Muffins Cafe would be GREAT right now") I'm older than dirt and have lived on the Upper West Side when it still had The Cherry, Miss Grimble's, Grossingers, Non Sequiter Antiques, The Nickel Bar, Boot Hill, Main Man and the Wildwood. I very much regret I never had the oppertunity to have made out with Nathan Lane at The Works ("Oh, you JUST missed him. He left about ten minutes ago!").

I live with one man and two cats.

I am not professionally involved in show buisness at all. I don't act, sing, dance, produce or play a musical instrument. This is probably a blessing.

I am involved in the visual arts. Which reminds me - go check out the Parmigianino show at the Frick and John Currin show at the Whitney. And yeah, Currin is hyped up the wazoo but his pictures are pretty thrilling.

For me, there is very little gap between the visual arts and performing arts. Both seek to engage your emotions and senses and to excite and sometimes challenge your sensibilities. And sometimes, it takes you a while to fully understand and appreciate what is being done. For example: Stephen Sondheim is the Nicholas Poussin of musical theater, and Poussin is the Sondheim of painting. Ya know what I mean?

Where was I...oh yeah. My first song I learned as a wee tot in 1961 was "Rockabye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody" who branded me both as a lover of older musical comedies and a budding homosexual. My first exposure to one of the great ladies of the theater was the triad of the Original Cast recording of SOUTH PACIFIC, PETER PAN and "The Story of Walt Disney's SLEEPING BEAUTY as told and sung by Mary Martin". My first Broadway musical was "It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's Superman" at which I fell asleep. I used to tape movie musical numbers off by TV set when network television still ran old movies during the day and late into the night, and still have one nearly inaudible tape with numbers from GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES, GIRL CRAZY, TOO MANY GIRLS and SALLY, IRENE & MARY.

In my spare time, I like to swim, cook, buy & sell on Ebay, and spend FAR too much time here when I should be working, dammnit! I don't like to do those stomach crunches, but as my best friend Barry tells me, "If you have a flat stomach and erect nipples, you can get away with anything."
"Christ, Bette Davis?!?!"

My name is Bethany and I am a tween and I love Odina. "

~ * ~ * ~ * ~

*glares directly at Namo*

Now why'd ya have to go and do that? I *used* to like you... re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Introducing Myself

I hate introductions. I'm blonde, blue eyed, 'bout yay high... Namo stole my name. I'm not still a 'teen', not quite an adult... somewhere in that in be.."tween" place. :) I like to laugh. I like to cry. I hate mean people. I have no tolerance for blatant stupidity. I can be a bitch, I'm usually an angel... don't test me. Learning is fun. I'm not well rounded, so occassionally I like to make an attempt at broadening my horizon. Usually fail miserably, but an attempt is still made.

I like musical theatre. I like musical theatre a lot. Clearly.

Oh, location? I live on the upper west side of Manhattan (10023, yeah baby!). I'm currently unemployed and working on fixing that. I sing, I dance, I act, I stand on my head... if you give me a treat I might even beg for you. :)

Right, I'm boring. Oh, yes... and I like to be alone. I hate people. Go away people. :-P

"You! You are the worst thing to happen to musical theatre since Andrew Lloyd Webber! And you, well, I just plain don't like you."
