The article's short and doesn't give anything away. This is the one TV show that I've watched since day one and I've loved every episode. I know the show can be a little over the top, but this season is toned down, compared to previous.
Any other fans?
You can also put the opening credits on my favorite list!

Posted: 12/1/09 at 6:57pmI stopped watching the series after the season with Peter Dinklage. Has it been really good since then? I might have to get the DVD box sets if so. Since I haven't seen it in forever my favorite season is still "The Carver" episodes.

I like how this season focuses on the main characters instead of a guest character. I know Matt is a total f-up, but I'm curious to see what's going to happen with him.
And I love that Vanessa Redgrave plays a cougar! Her husband is at least 30 years younger than she is. It's awesome.

Posted: 12/2/09 at 9:42amEvery year they claim it's gonna be toned down, it seems and it isn't (was season 3 the one with the penis-less rapist? The cast and crew apologized to Ent Weekly soprofusely about that season being "overly gothic" the cast basically saying that by the end they had no idea what they were doing or what the story was). I admit I'm a full season behind but I'm not sure when I'm gonna catch up--what started off as a so so F/X attempt at a campier Six Feet Under really was at its most OTT fun in season 2 but back then I still cared about the characters. Since then, it's not so much the over the topness I mind (I admit it's partly why I watch) but much as Ryan Murphy is proving with his other show, Glee, the writing sucks when ti comes to keeping characters consistant and not dropping interesting plot threads COMPLETELY, which makes for frustrating viewing IMHO.

With the exception of the Sharon Gless storyline, I don't feel like the show has been as good since it relocated the setting from Miami to LA.
