How is Julie Christie in the movie? Is she in it a lot? I'm a huge fan of hers...Was so disappointed that in her two latest movies, "Troy" and the third "Harry Potter", she was only in a couple of scenes. Any info would be great! :)

Julie Christie isn't in it a huge amount, though she has WAY more screentime here than in Troy. She is playing the mean grandmother but she finds a way to give her heart as well.

I truely can't wait to see this movie especially after seeing the star interviews on Oprah. I wanted to go to the preview last Saturday so badly but I couldn't get there re: Finding Neverland - any buzz?

If anyone else saw the clip they showed on Oprah of Kate Winslet talking to the Freddie Highmore.... I was in tears just watching that, lol. I'll be flooding the theatre.

Can't wait to see it!!!

I agree with you, Popcultureboy, that it was quick in the sense that there was some choppy editing, and you're not really given a timeline to see how long the story has progressed for. Unfortunately, with that, I felt like they sacrificed these sort of developmental scenes in favor to lengthen out some more unneccesary sluggish bits.

Julie Christie doesn't get a whole lot of screen time, which bummed me out because I'm a huge fan. Her character is fairly one-dimensional (from being the inspiration for Captain Hook and acting as such, and then her transition to being a nice person happened in ONE SCENE!), but she did good with what she had. It ain't Shakespeare in Love though! I also found that the sentimental music was a bit much - it was beating you over the head to tell you how you should feel.

I am starting to see the attraction of Johnny Depp though. He really didn't used to do anything for me before. (And who's the woman who plays his wife?)

His wife is played by Radha Mitchell, who has been in Pitch Black, Everything Put Together, Phone Booth and Man On Fire, to name a few. I love her. She needs to work more.

Oh right! I remember her from Pitch Black. She was great with what she had to work with. I'd like to see her in more!

You should check out Everything Put Together, which I believe is Marc Forster's first movie. It's very depressing but very good. Has Megan Mullally in it too.

How old is it? Is it widely available?

It was made in 2000 and it seems to be widely available. Check it out on imdb:

There's a good chance I'll see this movie (though not before The Incredibles), but am I the only straight girl who doesn't see the romantic appeal of Johnny Depp? I really don't get it.
