After Obama's speech, Jindal gave the Republican response and derided the volcano monitor. That worked out well when there was volcano activity in Alaska immediately following. Now, Maine Senator Collins insisted on having pandemic preparation money removed from the stimulus package before she would support it. Yeah, pandemic money isn't important.
