Posted: 12/1/08 at 3:11pmI am looking for a good audition song for the part of Ren and a good audition song for the part of Ariel. I'm really not sure where to start because the music is so different from most other musicals.

You can go one of two ways. Choose a song from another pop-style musical, or choose an 80s pop song. I was in Footloose over the summer and auditioned with "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" by Whitney Houston. Here's a link with other pop musicals:
