Yes, today was a good day. Happiness. Got home from rehearsal a while ago and I am happy. :)
Artichokes are *so* good! I'm very much looking forward to a kitchen next year so I can make them.

Ooh, this thread is definitely not good to read when you're already craving a midnight snack.
Hi, nia. Did you get to see Piazza?

Grits aren't on very many menus up here in NYC, that's for sure. The only time I've had them was down south.
Nia, think of cream of wheat but made with cornmeal.
It's a really southern thing. I love them.

I don't know what cream of wheat is, either.
So grits look like a lumpy batch of coke?
Isn't cream of wheat like oatmeal? Or am I making that up?

I used to like oatmeal when I was very little. Haven't had it in about ten years, but I still remember what it looks like.
So grits are like cream of wheat except not because it's more like cornmeal, which sort of makes them resemble drugs but in a very oatmeal-esque way.
Well, that makes perfect sense!
Hi, cookie!
What a sheltered childhood you've had, nia, at least in regard to hot breakfast dishes.
Cream of wheat and grits are kind of like oatmeal, but smoother and creamier. I'm not sure that picture gives you a very good idea of how they look.
I loved those Oatmeal Swirly things, or whatever they were called.

Haven't you girls all seen My Cousin Vinny? It really takes away any desire you may have had to try grits.
oatmeal is coarse ground oats.
cream of wheat is finely ground usually bleached wheat... but coarser than flour...

I didn't know there was so much to learn about different types of warm mush.

Wait I need to confirm this, we all agree that America should be called Vespucciland?
I always had this mushy stuff...I think it was called Farina or something. That was good.
My parents love that stuff.
Wasn't Columbus Portugese?
No. We should keep it America.

Never heard of that either.

I'm still in favor of SweetQica. She did build the country, after all.
