Yay!! I got a job...sorta.
I have an intoduction course on Friday and then I start...I don't know when. I'm tutoring kids with learning disabilities/ESE at the college I used to go to. I have a learning disability myself so I think it would be good to work with them. I think I'm teaching low math (G/d knows I can't do stats- I barely passed.) And I'm tutoring Enlgish. I think my major will end up being education so this will help. And I get paid!! I don't think it'll be much but at least it's something and it'll be good on my resume.
I thought I saw Emcee walking around the halls at my school and I got excited, until I remembered that she lived in New York, then I was sad.
That sounds like a good opportunity, SweetQ! Best of luck!
Now..if my school only had more job openings...
I'm also kind of freaking out about the staff meeting I'll be sitting in in about two hours. Eek!
Did I tell you I had to make a positive/negative list about each of the other supervisors? WHO DOES THAT?? That's not my job. That's the manager's job. *sulks some more*
I have so much to do, I honestly don't know where to begin.

I'm really bad at participating in International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Must...stop...being...grammatical...
Mmmm, pirates. :)

Em, when you have too much to do, just follow in the spirit of the thread and complete the most banal tasks first. *shrugs* Works as well as anything else.

Well, the first task is having a snack. Though before that comes deciding what to have....

*snerk* I have to write a paper, but first I have to decide which topic. And actually get my reading material out. Good thing I didn't set my copy of The Leviathan on fire when I really, really wanted to. *thinks longing pyromaniacal thoughts*

I have to write a 6-8 page paper. Granted, it's due in a couple weeks, but all the reading I haven't done is going to come back to haunt me.
And... I have to write a four-page essay tonight and analyze more poetry. Maybe I should get started.
I have to read and entire book, send a bunch of emails and make a bunch of phone calls which I've been putting off for far too long, catch up on my history reading, do an interview via e-mail, and read another book.
Oh, and put away my laundry.

I can't decide what's worse - reading dense academic text or writing long papers.
For IB there's a bunch of these required papers that we have to write which are then sent off to the other end of the world to get graded. I just found out that I got a 19/20 on one that I wrote last year, and that makes me really happy because I thought that it was horrible.
Writing, because you can BS.
I sound like a man. My voice decided to die today.
How did it get to be 5:30?
The earth rotated.
Gee, THANKS. =P
I should start my reading.
I got an iPod.

Thanks, peggyandvelma- I'll let ya know how it goes.
Here is my busy schdule- G/d knows what else is going to come up.
A week from today I have to write a cover page and 1 page of introduction for my critical assignment. Also, I have to get all 5 sources- none from the internet.
I have to meet with my group- 5 people...2 of which weren't in class today.
Also, for the same class, I need to read over 90 pages...Thank G/d I only have it once a week
Same class- On Nov 7th, I have to present with my group an hour and a half presentation on Iraq. We have to set up the room to look like Iraq, we have to bring in an Iraq video...
I specifically am doing the war on Iraq so my 8-10 page paper has to be specifically on that. Other's in my group are doing stereotypes, education and history of Iraq.
Tomorrow I have to hand in my rough draft of "One flew over the cuckoo's nest."
Monday I have to have read 40 pages from my education book. Also, I have to finish my "Savage Inequalities" book and write a 8-10 page report on it- well, that's not due until 0ct 23rd though.
Then, on Monday, October 2nd, I have to have interviewed 2 pre-k teacher (I already have 1 set up for this coming friday) and I have to find 5 sources (none internet) about the problems in Pre-k and what can be done about them (ie: Head start). That paper has to be 6 pages.
In the end (like November,) we (my group) has to come up with a plan/foundation to create a better pre-k program.
I'd rather stare at my walls than read this book.

I'm sorry, Em.
I simply cannot motiviate myself to write this paper.
Maybe we should just boycott school together.
Eh, I like school. I'm just tired of it at the moment. :P *reads, falls asleep*
I hate doing tedious assignments that the teacher doesn't even read. *kicks Crime & Punishment*
