Gav, I know how you feel. My dad had to file for bankruptcy a couple of years ago and it was really hard for me to see him struggle with money because he had such a well-paying job. He's back on his feet now, but he's still just barely making those payments. I think that's one of the reasons why I'm kind of obsessed with wanting to be wealthy when I graduate college. I want to buy my parents all the things that I didn't (and don't) have while growing up.
Stay strong, though. Your dad will bounce back from this soon. My thoughts are with you! :)

James, people would be rioting in the streets if they tried that at my school.
If they want to block filesharing, why don't they block actual filesharing programs, like Limewire and Kazaa and such instead of something that's main intent is communication and one of the minor features is file transfer? I don't think most people even know that you can use it for that.

Basically being up all night with a pounding headache, I finally fell asleep around 5:30am. They start mowing the lawn at 6:30. Not cool. At all.
Of to 3 and a half hour class. blah.

The roomie can always take breakfast out into the hall. I used to do that my freshman year. Well, before I stopped sleeping altogether; then I just ate at totally random times.
I need to figure out if I can escape a really, really important political science department meeting that just happens to be on Friday. It's not like that's Rosh Hashannah and my parents want me to be home or anything. (Sucks to be a Jew. Again.)

I totally didn't realize that they were actually called the High Holy Days, I thought it just meant like regular holidays.
Update on my time killing: I have twenty minutes left of power on my laptop, I'm thinking of taking a trip across the street for lunch.

Hmm. Well, do you know if she's totally set on it? Maybe she doesn't know it bugs you that much, and if she did, she would have something else. Does she have friends on your floor who get up early? Maybe she could use their microwave, or something? You should try to talk to her about it, though. :-/

I'm really tired as well. I'm glad that Tuesday/Thursday are relatively easy days and I can probably catch a nap this evening (between studying for calculus and zoology).
That's really too bad about the roommate/breakfast issue, Lexi. Probably a lame suggestion, but... earplugs? Or headphones?
