Well, I'm sitting here, not at the scavenger hunt, because they made a typo on the flyer. And the staff didn't even bother to call me. They did this last time when we went to a baseball game; the permission slip said come at 5, and they made a typo. But did anyone call me? No.
They made a typo on the NYMF usher schedule too. I was under the impression that the show started at 4:30 (as the schedule said), but when I got to the theatre at 3:50. the house was already open and someone else was handing out programs in my place. The show started at 4.
I'm watching my favorite Sex and the City episode, and it's the one where Carrie cheats on Aiden with Big. I wonder what that says about me....

Good question. haha.
I got Sharpay in High School Musical! I'm so excited it's insane. This is my first lead (i've had small roles before) in a show, so hopefully I don't screw it up majorly.
I think this goes down as the strangest Rosh Hashanah ever. My dad and my brother had a huge fight before I got home, so we drove to our friends' house in absolute silence. That was grand. They sorted out their differences early in the evening, so that was okay. We went to have dinner with some very close family friends; we spend almost every holiday at their house, and they are, pardon the cliche, truly like my second family. But... for the first time in any time there that I can remember, it was filled with such angst and sorrow and misery, even when my dad and my brother made up. They were experiencing such chaos... really sad chaos, really. The oldest of their kids has two semesters of school left, and is sort of a serial transfer student. His parents are trying to encourage him to stick it out and just get his degree, but he won't have any of it. The younger, sixteen years old, has been on again off again with her (fairly serious) boyfriend for nearly two years. He's always the one to break up with her, and she was so terribly upset tonight because he did it again, but moreso because he never says what he did -- that it was really, truly over. I hated seeing her like that; we talked for a while, because I've been through what she's going through, albeit in a very different context. She was an absolute mess, but not in the standard teenage drama way; in a very mature, but very deeply hurt way, and it had JUST happened, so she was really worse for the wear. He goes to college soon, and he's sort of running away while he's still ahead. He's afraid of what's ahead, and getting out before they hit that point. She feels like she's to blame, which is a obviously very difficult. At dinner, though everyone tried to keep her away from the wine, she got pretty drunk. I've literally watched her grow up, and it killed me to see her like that. And their mom, who is one of my mother's dearest friends and one of my most favorite people on this planet is in such distress. It all really upset me. There should not be so much melancholy on a holiday. And, as if that were not enough, they had another friend there whose mother is very ill, which is obviously terrible, but that was another downer to the evening.
Wow, what a long banal post.
This is why I'm glad my family only has one New Year to get drunk on. Oh, the baggage....

I am so hungry and I don't exactly have any food. I only had a bagel at 1:30 and that's all I had all day.
And I know when I get up tomorrow I'm going to be starving and I won't want to go out and get stuff. uh.

I worry...
too much...
99% of the time... it's for nothing.
You're so pessimistic, Raviolisun! I, on the other hand, am hoping it means that this sorry chapter in my life will soon come to a close (light dying) and that a new, brighter one will begin (light rekindling). God, I'll be so pissed if I died! If you're right, Raviolisun, I'm going to come haunt you!
So...my high school's football game was on national TV tonight, and they decided to get into a huge fight during the 3rd quarter. I love city schools.

I thought I was going to go to bed after I took a shower, but now I'm wide awake. I should get off and look at my lines, though.

I bit my toe nails once. It hurt my teeth when I tried to bite my big toe nail. Then I got an infection from the fungus in the toe nail. OY! Not a pretty sight. Turns out Mom was right when she said, "Don't bite your toe nails! It's disgusting."

My brother did that when he was little. He used to suck his toes, too.
