You're still in high school, right, gav? It's still not that hard. Babysitting is an easy $10-20 bucks an hour. Maybe fees have gone up even more since my babysitting days. :) And now that the cold months are coming, raking leaves and especially shoveling snow can be a great moneymaker. Charge $20 a pop and you'll have the money in no time.

Minimum Wage in California is $8.25, in NY it is $7.15. Where do you live?
McDonalds five weeks, ten hour weeks...there you go

Heh, I'm not even in high school yet! I'm almost there. Thank you to Plum for the ideas. I think the only thing that wouldn't work would be shoveling snow, because it NEVER snows here.
I might also have a garage sale, since we have sooo much crap in the garage we need to clear out.
Today I was up at 6:45 so I could catch a 7:30 bus to school. My mom tells me at 7 that she'll drive me instead at 8, which meant that I could've slept in another 45 minutes. Then I get to my 9 o'clock class to find it's cancelled, which means I really could've slept in. So after finding my mom at Wal-Mart, I'm going back to bed, only to go back to school for 2.
I've been watching The Office nonstop. It's wonderful.
I made my lanyard for my school ID pretty yesterday. It has lace. . (We now have to wear our IDs on lanyards around our necks.)
I didn't fall asleep until after 7am, woke up at 10:57, got to class at 11:01, took an exam and now I'm back. I feel like I could sleep for a week...
I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep all day. But I have so much homework to do.
Good job waking up just in time, skittles. That has happen to me for so many exams... I'll turn off my alarm and then wake with a start with just enough time to get there (although usually I was planning on studying beforehand, whoops). One of these days I'm going to be late, I just know it.
I just got the nicest email ever from a professor that I really admire. It made me cry.
Edit: And, I was going to skip a class, but I just got an email that it was cancelled. Had I actually gone to class I would have left already, so I wouldn't have gotten the email in time. The universe works in strange ways.

i had to do that all 4 years of high school and if we forgot our id one day we would get a warning and then the next time we would get a detention and if you forgot it enough, you could even get a referral. it was rediculous. and of course they started doing it my freshman year. (the first school year after sept 11)
Guess they'll figure it out once they get there?
Sucks for them. :P
I'm in such a weird mood. Kinda delirious. Which is bad because I have to go meet with my professor um, now.

With ours, if you forget it you have to sign out a big temporary one (and return it at the end of the day). If you fail to do so, you get a detention. If you lost your ID, you have to fill out some sheet and go to the security desk. You also have to pay $10.
It's my last year, and my school never sticks to things. A lot of people are complaining, so it probably will be changed so you just have to have it visible (like on your belt loop). For the past three years, you are supposed to have it with you, but no one really did.
Personally, I don't care. I mean, I just think: pick your battles. It's not that big of a deal that we have to make this huge fuss for nothing really. *shrug* I do find it annoying that we have to wear it around our necks, and that we can't have it hooked on our belt loops.
I think I have cramps. I could be imagining it, though.
I'm hungry. I just missed lunch, although I have food I can heat up, I'm just not sure if I'm in the mood for it. Meh.
I need to go out and buy painkillers. Usually I don't like that they make me a little loopy, but I think I could use some loops right now. :)
Last night the fire alarm went off at 2 am. My roommate woke me up, and I thought it was MY alarm, so I kept trying to turn it off, but IT WOULDN'T TURN OFF! I even unplugged it and it STILL wouldn't turn off. My roommate was finally like, "NO, it's the FIRE ALARM." I was so confused. And there wasn't even a fire!
Of course there was no fire. There never is. Welcome to dorm life, Elphie. :-/
The fire alarms here are being tested at 9:00 tomorrow morning. Booooo.
Em, you're probably not making it up, seeing as how we're cycle and mine started today.
I have to dissect a sheep brain tomorrow. Yum.
Hehe, we're so approaching TMI-for-message-board territory, Sarah. :)
I need to go to the drugstore and pick up some medicine but it's six blocks away and I'm laaaaaazy.
I feel really guilty about something and I can't really take ACTION to assuage my guilt, so I'm just sort of sitting on it, waiting for it to go away. Kind of doesn't seem efficient, now does it? I feel a big sense of (though very temporary) relief, but it makes me feel bad that in my calmer nature, someone else is suffering for it, even if things are at this point, for the best.
I'm trying to focus on this article that is just full of presumptious jargon and I cannot concentrate, because by the time I get to the end of a sentence, I've forgotten how it started. I hate reading this kind of stuff.
