Posted: 8/12/06 at 1:32amAlright, here is a story that has me steamed and yet a little happy. My best friend from high school just finished plebe summer at the Naval Academy. I know we make an unlikely pair, but just go with it. Anyways my friend’s roommate told my friend his pet name for his girlfriend, and my friend told their platoon leader. The platoon leader made the roommate tell everyone the pet name for his girl friend. As revenge the roommate read all over his letters, where he found out that his best friend back home was gay. The roommate told the platoon leader and they made my friend write an essay about all about his gay best friend back home and read it out loud. It is bittersweet because am pissed off about the homophobia in our military system into, but I also feel good because the essay was about me….

I have to reread Ragtime... I haven't read it since seventh grade.
I just went shopping and spent money I probably don't have. But there were sales! I got a jacket and five shirts for $45.
