1984 is one of my favorite books.
I'm in the middle of Gone With the Wind. I'm 250ish pages in, and it's FINALLY moving along at a good pace (the beginning was so slow). But... even 100 pages doesn't feel like much of an accomplishment, 'cause the book is over 1,000.
My friend called me tonight to tell me that her daughter is having a baby. Her daughter is 23 and married. I used to stay with her and her younger sister when my friend and her husband would go away for weekends. So, I was basically her babysitter. And she is married. And having a baby. I'm 30. Right now I feel old and very alone.
Meh...last summer I got through chapter 6 of 1984...haven't read any further since. I keep forgetting that I really do want to read that whole book one day...
Apparently, some part of our AC is frozen, so we can't turn it on. I can't have the windows open for medical reasons and I'm hot. Bleh.
I AM SO ITCHY.
I really want this week to be over.

I hate rashes!
Emcee- Doctor maybe?
I have a lot of allergies, so this kind of thing is none too rare an occurence. It's just bothersome and uncomfortable.

I do too, but I have never gotten a rash. I just usually get my eyes sealed shut with a wierd puss in my eyes.
On another note my mom is a social worker at a hospital, today she had a mother who just gave birth. The grandmother is 42, the father is 17, the mother is 15. That is sick.
I took Benadryl, so now I have to wait for it to kick in so I stop itching and am able to sleep.

Neddy, what ever happened to the pot?
Broadway Legend Joined: 12/23/05
Have you ever noticed that posters have certain threads that they post on in the off-topic board? If that made any sense.
Pot- Well it isn't on my lap anymore. I put it back under his bed. Friday he won't be home, and my mom should be stopping by, and we are having our carpets cleaned on friday. I will tell my mom and ask her just to say she found it while getting everything off the carpet, she had to look under his bed and get that stuff to. Sound good?

umm...weren't you going to "warn" him first?
You'd want to be "warned," wouldn't you?
How about if your mom asks you how YOU found it?
Broadway Legend Joined: 12/23/05
No, I am not because I don't feel comfortable talking to him about it. What do I say, I am going to tell on you?
Yes I would want to be warned, but at the same time I wouldn't do that.
My mom won't ask, I am going to ask her not to before I tell her.
This whole thing has been just very hard emotionally. Because I have slowly found out more and more and it is just hard. And I haven't been snooping anymore to find them out.

How have you found out more without snooping?
Personally, if I were your brother- I'd be quite angry that you didn't say something to me first. You both are old enough to have somewhat of a civil relatonship.
You don't have to say "I'm going to tell on you"
Maybe something to the effect of:
"{his name}, although I don't show it, I do care about you. I know it was wrong for me to do but as I was shutting off your computer the other day, I found....information. Then I went further and found.... As much as I don't want you to get in trouble, I feel that I have to tell mom because I want you to get help and stop doing dangerous things..."
If you don't feel like you can actaully say it to him (which would be the mature way), you can always write a note.

I found more without snooping because eventually you put two and two together and it all makes more sense now.
I don't even know what to do. I need to think about this firt. It sucks. It's summer, it i supposed to be *somewhat* stress free.
I don't agree with the warning thing. Why would you let them know that their about to get into serious trouble and give them the opportunity to hide? He's doing drugs...But SweetQ, I can see your point of view. It's just that if I went off the deep end, I'd want someone to slap me in the face and call me stupid instead of dancing around it.

I have to go out now and it's storming like crazy. blah.
I hate having to come home for lunch, find something to eat, make it, eat it in half an hour and then get back to school. I have to eat so fast!!! Oh well, I can come on BWW so I don't care.

I just quit my job. Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, filming was cancelled today and now the only thing I have to do is finish reading Waterland for class.
