A) Porn that he was in the middle of downloading on limwire
B) He just got back from a trip to Israel with 10 American Jews, 10 Palestinans, 10 Bedowins, and 10 Israelis. So apparently he did a lot of smoking of "Nargila" on the trip, which I guess is a kind of Hookah. And they call him the Satlan. So I looked it up and it basically means he is obsessed with pot. So I do further investigation, and find out he does drugs. Then I go in his room and I find a nice big bag of it, which is now in my lap, and I don't know what to do with it. And oh ya, apparently when i am in my room, he has my neighbors over to smoke with him.

Now since I am a great brother, I shut down his computer before my parents could, since tommorow is his birthday. But it freaks me out. I don't know if I should tell my parents.

Neddy, I really think you should tell your parents. It's a serious subject but it could hurt your brother in the long run. It is drugs after all.
Just be straightfoward. Blunt and honest is really all you can be.

I'm on the "telling parents" board.

I haven't gotten the results of blood work yet. I was supposed to get it within one to two days last Wednesday, meaning by Friday. Blah.

That's not a defense. He told you to shut it off, but you went through all his files and programs instead. Then searched his room for pot. I'm not condoning his actions, but that's not a defense for your actions. You snooped where it wasn't your place and you found something you didn't like; you're just as responsible for putting yourself in this situation as he is.

I think you should talk to your brother before you go to your parents.

And put the pot back where you found it.

Well when I went to shut off his computer, he had limewire open, and I went to shut it and found the porn. And the his aim was open so I read the convos. I know I shouldn't have done it.

The problem with talkin to him is we don't have a very open relashionship. We come from two different worlds, him sports me theater. We don't talk about anything really, and NEVER in public (at school) do we talk. So I would not feel comfortable doing that.

I don't want to put the pot back under his bed, because I don't want him smoking it.

Honestly, you taking this one bag isn't going to stop him from ever smoking pot again. He'd probably just call up a friend and get more before realizing it's missing. If you hold onto it for too long, you risk getting caught yourself.

And I'm sorry, but considering your were spawned from the same vagina as him, your relationship should go beyond using stupid high school cliques as an excuse not to talk to him- especially in serious situations like this. I think he has a right to know you're going to your parents, even if it is just an IM to say "I found pot in your room. I'm going to tell Mom and Dad." Put yourself in his place; you'd want some kind of warning.

Tomorrow had better hold less misery than today, at least in the immediate - aka that my mom stops picking fights with me. Not like "tomorrow is another day" clears up impending doom. I mean, what do you do when you're just waiting for a bad situation to get worse, and waiting for something really sad to happen?
