Miss Piggy's "bio" from the Muppets' Oz website had me rolling on the floor laughing my
@ss off!:
To show the world her incredible range and to qualify for as many acting awards and wardrobe changes as possible, the legendary Miss Piggy appears as all four witches in The Muppets' Wizard of Oz. It is an astonishing accomplishment (as she is quick to remind you…repeatedly), but exactly the sort of unparalleled screen-hogging performance one expects from one of the most glamorous stars the silver screen has ever known.
From modest beginnings (which she is quick to gloss over) Miss Piggy first broke in show business by winning the Miss Bogen County beauty contest, a victory which also marked her first meeting with frog of her life, Kermit. The rest, as they say, is history (and lot of juicy gossip, too).
In 1976, Miss Piggy started out in the chorus of The Muppet Show. Thanks to her charisma and a correspondence course in karate, Piggy made her presence know and soon became the lead chanteuse and femme fatale on the show. Quickly, her career expanded to include television specials, home videos, records and books. Her "how to" volume of advice on absolutely everything, Miss Piggy's Guide to Life, became a national bestseller, and her fabulous face has been featured on the cover of countless magazines too numerous to mention (oh, all right, we'll name a few: Time, TV Guide and People).
Along with her dear sweet Kermie, Miss Piggy has appeared in all six Muppet feature films including The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Take Manhattan, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island and Muppets From Space, as well as on innumerable television shows and wherever expensive shoes and chocolates are sold.
