Romantico, I doubt very much Jay will walk. He is doing this as PR. If he didn't say something like that he would appear to be a douchebag. Jay is very slimy and shrewd when it comes to getting something he wants (like the Tonight Show the first time around).

Conan's monologues since the news have been top notch. But what surprised me has been that every late night show host is firing at Leno and to a lesser extent NBC. We know Letterman has wanted to fire away for years but Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Kimmel are also not holding back. I also love how last night you had Jack McBrayer and Ricky Gervais (hosting the Golden Globes for the network) attacking NBC in the best ways they know how. Tina Fey and the 30 Rock writing staff have to be salivating over how much material the network has given them in this short period of time.

I know. I just wish it were true. When all of this is done and over, Jay will be the one looking like a jerk.Hopefully, his ratings will suffer.Never understood how he had this clean cut image. Friend of mine read the book THE LATE SHIFT and was telling me stuff that was just horrible.If Jay had a conscious I think he'd be concerned about how NBC has tarnished his clean image. Its all about money for Jay. Howard Stern had a very interesting thing to say about Jay a few months ago.

I also read the Late Shift many years ago but I can't remember the details.

I had the radio on this morning as I was driving to work and one of the morning hosts said that the feeling in the comedy community is that Jay is the bad guy (not a shock there) and that people are overwhelmingly on Conan's side.

Jay has always been the bad guy in my opinion. As one person put it, Jay wanted the Tonight Show back in 92 and Jay did what he had to to get it. Now,Jay wants the Tonight show from Conan and will do anything to get it.Nothing has changed except hosts.Helen Kushnick was suppose to be the bad guy in 92,but she can't be blamed this time.Jay is a sneaky closet hiding weasel and the world is finally seeing him for what he is. I gotta check out this book!

I love that Letterman brought up the 'Jay hiding in the closet' bit, last night.


Jay should have just walked away from TV after his contract was up. That would have been the classy thing to do. He's got more money than God, and doesn't need to work another day in his life.

Instead, he's playing the petulant child, demanding this and that, not caring who he screws in the process.

He needs to just go away.

Leno has been coasting on the branding of The Tonight Show for so long and he finally proved it when he tried to bank on his own name and failed miserably. The guy needs to go.

Howard Stern spoke on the Early Show yesterday about Jay and I must say, I agree with him 100%. He says it like it is and he is right on Regarding Leno!
