I thought this thread was going to be about Frances Farmer.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I'm leaving home tomorrow. We're thinking the whole house is gonna flood so umm...if you don't hear from me for a couple months...that's why. And no, this is not a joke.

Great film Rath -- just talked to my Dad -- his town could be the striking point....UGH -- he's about 3 miles inland and at this point won;t go further west -- what is wrong with your parents when they do not listen to you!

re: Frances

be safe all of you that are fleeing frances! i was just watching the news and feeling pretty happy for once to be in pennsylvania.

also, i heard from someone today that if you are in Florida and running from a hurricane you should check into a disney resort b/c they give you lots of free food and are generally the only people in town with power the next day b/c their power lines are underground...sorry if that sounds dumb, just something i heard.

re: Hurriacne Frances

I am in Ft. Lauderdale doing a gig and am prepping for my first hurricane. I'd be lying if I said that I am not a little nervous. Here's hoping that Frances slows down or turns right away from the east coast. People here are going crazy buying gas, leaving the grocery store shelves empty, etc. They are predicting Friday evening it will hit land here. Positive thoughts/prayers appreciated.

I wish it were about Frances Gumm, this Frances is a real bi*ch.
I'm busy installing my hurricane shutters and getting my house and yard ready for the mess that is coming. Wish me and everybody else in Florida well.

Was just there a few weeks ago visiting family. I grew in Coconut Grove (part of Miami.)

Good luck to you South Fl Marc!

re: Hurriacne Frances

This is a much bigger storm than both Charley and Andrew. We're in an evacuation zone in Miami and trying to figure out what to do. Although going to Disney would be great, it looks as if once it makes landfall, it will head north to Central Florida.

This is really scary and it doesn't seem as if there is any safe place to go right now in the state.

re: Hurriacne Frances

My mom is in southwest florida (Ft Myers) and she emailed to tell me she will be staying inland with relatives (she lives in a mobile home) until it passes...I'm sending lots of positive thoughts down there for y'all...Possums
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

re: Hurriacne Frances

Thanks- they're saying it will be one of the worst storms to hit Florida. It does not look good right now. Our lives will all be changed in a matter of a few days and we have no control over it- we can only prepare the best that we can.

re: Hurriacne Frances

One of my friends here at school is really worried. His hometown is in the center of the path Frances is set to take so I am keeping all his friends and family in my thoughts and prayers. A few of my friends were stuck in Florida for Charlie and the eye went right over them but this is sounding much worse. I hope all of you down there weather this puppy out.

It's really fun during a category 4 or 5 to run around nekkid in the surf. It makes you feel one with nature. I highly recommend it.

re: Hurriacne Frances

broadwaystar2b- From what they are saying in Miami and at the Hurricane Center, Central Florida and South Florida have the same chances of being hit. This is just horrible for you guys, since you just went through this with Charley! Please stay safe.
