God I'm loving this album. Anyone think his vocals bear a striking resemblance to Nina Simone's? Most apparent in "Bad Religion". Man, I wish I hadn't waited on tickets for his show at the Wiltern. They were originally 30-something with fees. You can get them on StubHub now for the about 250/ea.

I've been comparing his writing to James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Judy Collins and Stevie Wonder. But it hadn't occurred to me to compare his voice to Nina Simone.
