The original is classic and divine, but watching the new one again on ABC tonite--damn, it's funny. Mostly because Jamie Lee Curtis is BRILLIANT in it! She should have been nominated for an Oscar.
And Lindsay when she was lovely. Sigh. I hope that Lindsay comes back.
She looks so pretty, especially since she's not that weird orange shade of "tan." This is such a fun movie.
Jamie Lee Curtis elevated this movie into a whole other world. She is absolutely brilliant and hysterical. She absolutely deserved the Golden Globe nomination she got for this movie.
And Lindsey... oh dear... she just looks sickly when I see her now. What a shame. She used to be such a pretty girl.
I love Jamie Lee Curtis in this movie "I'm old! I'm like the cryptkeeper!" lol that's a classic line
Anytime JLC says "Dude" I just die!
And that CMM is kinda babelicious--though he's much cuter now that he's beefed up.
Ahhhh...Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay. :) Makes for a wonderful evening.

MHMMMM!
Jamie Lee Curtis was the best thing of that movie. my grandmother saw it and said that Lindsay was better but I'm sorry, Jamie was better. what she did was hard.

When I first heard of this remake I thought it was going to suck since it would be the second remake of the movie (the first being a disney channel movie), but my parents ended up buying it for me for Christmas (I have no clue why since I didn't ask for it) and I actually liked it, alot.

And to make it "on topic", don't forget, the original story was written by Mary Rodgers - composer of "Once Upon A Mattress", daighter of Richard Rodgers, mother of Adam Guettel.
Jamie is phenomenal, she makes that movie. Her and Chad Michael Murray...hah!

I watched this, too. And I remembered so many of these clips from the trailers. I think my favorite lines were when she told off the English teacher, and when she said "SNAP!" Haha. You don't hear that too often anymore.

As strange as that sounds, I totally agree. The remake of Freaky Friday is criminally underrated. When I saw the poster, I said: "You have to be kidding me..." But, against all odds, it turned out to be comedy gold.
What made Curtis's performance so good was not only her comedic timing, but her complete lack of vanity and pretense. It certainly didn't look like she was trying to win awards.
I still think it was the funniest film of 2003. It was HYSTERICAL, and managed to be very touching and real without being sappy. Speaking of which, the final scene at the dinner party never fails to get a lump in my throat. And Lohan, I think, stands up to Curtis very well.
